Apart from the propaganda, both Leaders had a visionary plan to build such great infrastructure, it must be well appreciated. Manse 🙋🏻

Its literally an hour of 2 guys pointing and trying to size up each-others hand gesture game. Its feels like a son is trying to show his dad his skill at making predictably unpredictable hand gestures. Can anyone explain why / who educated them to talk with their hands but use these strange gestures. Did the USSR teach them these body language techniques or is this like a cultural Korean thing? Like 3:44, 3:51 14:00 was a total father son face off of the hand gestures 17:32 was like a contest on who can predict if Kim Il Sung was going to point or not. 26:07 Kim Jung Un has also been seen doing this "Flat Drop" gesture his father did.

Would it surprise you to learn that United States propaganda is just as bad, if not worse? It's just less obvious to us because it's properly tailored to our population

Obvious NK propaganda film not withstanding, it’s just a terrible film even if you ignore the propaganda. Story is completely random. There’s absolutely no good reason to tear down the factory. Well, the reason given is something like they won’t be able to meet the great General’s order for everyone to get a blanket anyways, so might as well tear it all down and build a cement factory. Random insert of a flashback to a meet-cute of unknown man with protagonist woman. The protagonist loses, loses, and loses some more. Everything goes wrong and yet, everything is fine. We’re all good. We almost died gathering tons of wood, and when it’s taken for a different project, we’re fine, we’ll just do it again. It’s crazily scatterbrained and impossible.

Poignant to think of what they underwent. I think people forget, this is not party line in spirit. Note how it borrows from British films of the 1960s to disguise quite a powerful point - authority is always explaining black as white. (If you doubt this, note the out-size grey suit the very gaunt actor is wearing.) There is TONNES going on beneath the surface here! 👍
Ooh Yikes. 50:08 I clearly understand what you're trying to say, but that's very much *not* the phrase you want to use there.

They hate amarica and Japan and have a on and off love hate relationship with South Korea. They just don't care for the rest of us, there's a lot of history on the matter, also the country wide lie about bascetball in North Korea is the Kim family invented the game not the amaricans.

Line many political/communist propaganda films, you will always have dictators conversing, always doing hand gestures and finger pointing somewhere in the distance

that's because of their political and economic system, a leader is responsible for everything economic and infrastructure, that requires him to visit many factories and public construction.
