Use a gopro clamp on end of the drops bar, with camera to gopro adapter to screw on the selfie stick and velcro strap to wrap around the selfie stick to the drops nearer to brakes. Not ideal as I can't hold on to the drops.

Pretty good stability out from the X3. I use the same tool for my POV shots too on my tiny Brompton with more vibrations. Seems to do pretty well! Also, awesome cadence/output power ratio you've got there!
@kayemtan Жыл бұрын
Yes there was alot of uneven Road surface and was bumpy. You can see from the handlebar shaking. But the video was still appears stable. As for power to cadence, from what I understand, power output is proportional to cadence. Therefore I try to keep to ride above 80 if possible.

As someone whose been having their friend convert a AWD Ms-01D to RWD on the cheap...go. buy. a. rwd. chassis. Even after all our work we've agreed that the car will only be a stopgap till we both buy Yokos or something else of that caliber. Its been a ton of work, including 3d printing and some custom metal fab, and it will be pretty cool, but for someone that just wants in to the RWD space, id say just buy a RWD chassis, unless you love a challenge. Keep the AWD for your rough, fast outdoor sessions and have the RWD for your stylin basment sessions or just anything small space/lower speed/good smooth surface.

The wide angle driveshafts are just longer and that allows the wheels to be pulled out more giving clearance for more turning angle? Am I understanding that correctly?
@kayemtan4 жыл бұрын
Its not the length but the ballhead. Its more oval than round. This allows the wheel to turn smoothly at a higher turning angle.

Can you explain something to me I'm noticing that everybody is pulling the front upper arms back to give themselves better anchormen I believe but I'm my car for some reason I have to push my arms forward so I can get a flat contact patch can you explain to me the difference and why I'm running a yokomo yd2 e x
@kayemtan5 жыл бұрын
By pulling the front upper arm back I get a higher caster angle. The more I steer towards a full lock, the leading wheel will lift up more (as compare to when the upper arm is push forward). This will cause weight to shift to the rear wheels of the opposite side. Because the rear wheels are toe-in, a higher weight means better grip on the rear wheel on the opposite side of the leading wheel. See my video (link below fast forward to between 11:26 and 12:20) :- kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6KUfpymmduKbLc You can see that when I steer to the right to drift toward the left, the left rear wheel shocks are compressed. Meaning weight is on this wheel and vice versa. This will allow the car to start drifting at a lower motor RPM. Which means I have more range between grip to slip. Tires are designed rounded so that contact patch can be maximized with wider camber gain. Also it's ok that the trailing wheel do not need to have any contact patch cause the weight is already lifted up and shifted to the leading wheel.

Dead band is how much you can move the throttle handle before the motor starts turning.High motor timing can make the motor get hot. For your info, in case it would happen...I see a lot of cars with very thin oil. Especialy in the front. I have #250 in my MS-01D CS 2.0.Oh, i also have that combo in my E4D-MF PRO. But also the Toro TS 120 in my DIB. The last one is much smoother! But it needs another program card too
@kayemtan5 жыл бұрын
I've totally gave up on CS. I find it especially difficult to control when there is a straight section on the track. Do you experience this? You can see in this video :- kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHO4eICjqMSMh7c That I just cant get it to go straight. I had to do an extreme switch back. With practice, I'm more confident with RWD. It's also look more realistic whenever I capture slow motion video of the car.

Good job bro! Anyone can build and drive a yokomo or rmx but if you can custom build something and keep up then that’s real skill. (IMO)
@kayemtan5 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro. My Yokomo DIB is still slower than many of my peers. I'm learning alot from them as well. Each week before I go for our drift meet, I would set it up differently. I used to run with weight distribution of 30f:70r but I feel that with the weight of 950gm at the rear, my acceleration is slow after a corner. I'm going to shift my battery to the centre and see if the acceleration improves. Now my weight distribution is 41f:59r with rear weight of 890gm now. Stay tune to see if this setup makes the launching or acceleration much faster.
