Excellent job, but what about dynamic contrast? Just not hearing it on this recording. Of course, Stokowski’s dirge tempo was an extreme (a beautiful and soulful extreme), but this was a little fast for me. Your group does play with a great sense of musicality and the intonation was spot on. Bravo! I would expect nothing less from Duke University.
