They are a distraction to keep us from becoming our full self's. 15 years playing games and with that amount of time I could be fluent in almost every language, shred the guitar way more than I do now, have way better memories with my family than I do. (Never know the value of a moment until its a memory), all the money I put into it I could have another house renting it. Once addicted temporarily your soul gets sucked into the game when you play and almost all dopamine thereafter is dulled compared to the game. When you watch or play a game they distract you from what is real and meaningful. Only play if it's a meaningful memory to be had with your family or friends.
