Epic solo. So much feel. I always love hearing this song.

What a legendary band. I saw Nevermore in early 2000s, on the Dead Heart tour in Richmond VA. Very small crowd, AND Nevermore was the opening act!! They played about 6-7 songs and that was it. Couldn't have been more than 300 in attendance. They always deserved so much more recognition than they got while together.

To see the actor without tears Dark rivers carve the years between the lines of self control In my psychotic karmic fear, I own your tears anyway And I am you and we are not afraid And we won't be here for long The heart collector sings his song that's slowly boiling over Nevermore to feel the pain The heart collector sang And I won't be feeling hollow for so long Nevermore to feel the pain The words fall out like fire Just believe when you can't believe anymore The stage is empty now I hope we hold and cannot allow the corrupt eclectic takes his fatal bow And we won't be here for long The heart collector sings his song again Nevermore to feel the pain The heart collector sang And I won't be feeling hollow for so long Nevermore to feel the pain The words fall out like fire Just believe when you can't believe anymore

Nothing makes me nostalgic for my 20s more than that knowledge that Nevermore was going to be playing in the area every couple years. I've seen them 5 times and I wish I would have watched them more.

Where did bands like this go? These days you either have those vocalists who are constantly angry, screaming in every song. Or operatic, power metal like vocals. And then either simple, pop-ish sound or something overly proggy with boring songs that don't really go anywhere. Nevermore was great, RIP Warrel.

Warrel lives through me. This whole band did in my darkest years!!! And my best years !! My go to so that I can feel. The only time I could feel is hearing the lullaby’s of NeverMore. Through dark through light through nothingness! Singing the masterful lyrics with the realest of emotions can never be described . The melodies! The beats!!! My gawd!!! I’ll never forget NeverMore!!!

I was lucky enough to see NM during the "dead heart" tour here in Athens and then again some years later. I also saw Warrel during his solo tour playing the "dead heart" album in its entirety. So many good memories.
