How unlucky! At 9:41 you can see the shaft fly way high above the tuna. Maybe it was bent or the flopper stuck but it sure as hell did not go where it was aimed.

It was a slip tip, so there was no flipper to be stuck. He was moving the gun to the left and that often causes shaft whip
