This was awesome Bill, thanks for sharing this journey. I've always viewed that area from the Wyalusing bluffs, cool to see the river view. You're a great storyteller; this was fun.

Emily Dickenson I don’t want to be Emily Dickinson to be found it shoebox under the bed To have the accolade parade go by as my corpse cools to be burnt or buried or to sit in Theo’s shed as the years past till at some point at last whatever is there is recognized Rather than with my remaining ear to hear what may fall upon what I have done. If not to raise to the level of those who’s poor fates faired so well At least to know before I fall the worth of it all

If you missed the lyrics as I read them. Here they are. Reality Shadows pass in the dappled light pause to stare and then take flight down to the creek where the bush grows thick Poking the world with their pointy sticks Fond of food and love turning over rocks to look for grubs A bounty broad, a scattered gift then marking up the cliffs with Petroglyphs At days end they gather around the fires light how close the dark how high the sky how far away the stars The unrelenting loyalty of the world all around In the teeth of reality you’ll find what you can count on I see the light of distant, island beacons within the great seas of ignorance the close at hand? a coupling, a kiss, an embrace fading so quickly to happenstance The tumbling, random events with which I interact how can I figure this shit out when those fuckers can’t talk back I see your smile as you settle out giving voice to the deaf and mute forces the woven stories and metaphors bestowing circumstance with an empathetic grace The handshake exchange with the puppet that’s made fills in the cracks in the back The questions unasked over centuries wane as fables take up the slack Yet wandering minds lift up the blinds to peek out under the vales and rejoice in details the cut and the thrust while disturbing a thick layer of dust The eater of stars on his dragon’s hoard Strips the world of all that is good “You’ll not have warm without my fold. by the written text, do what you are told or haunt the skeletal remains out in the cold” Set aside for simple words the complex nature of the world and damn to hell any who would otherwise tell you your self worth tied to the absurd and oft occurs, you’ll find, a twist in everyday that from experience that you can’t reconcile and as the heretic on the pyre writhes the flames consume the flesh but reality remains unchanged Was it not an act of compassion to give the world a voice to lend the heart of emotion to everything Laying the layers of narrative cross the seas of ignorance while from tottering shoulders the insights come and we’d hoped to know it all filling up that space like tessellated puzzle pieces cover the place The sulking stories slink off to holes between the known to hide And a god of circumstance is just ignorance formalized nothing but to deny Our part in the peace of a world that works and everything we’ll ever find Now when the swirls are sharp and crisply defined the winding down is winding you up entropies clone but in the end you’ll have the last laugh raising like a great ship in a lock oh to come so far, in what is known Do we abandon all that we had before? the comfort and pride that bound us we’ll know no more? from where arose those feelings were they ever theirs to give you are they not of this world for you to call around to find you It did not come to be when you came around it had been there all along Embraced or denied everything you’ve been, had or done belongs here where your light has ever shone so welcome home won’t you raise that lantern high above your head

I case you missed some of the words, here's what they are supposed to be. Observation The point of engagement the senses in line Let loose on the world to see what you’ll find HEY OG! the sun has gone away It will raise again on the other side to form another day Why for this meekness to steal away at night? In water wells, for all I can tell or camel strides it might, hide away Unfold the circle reveal the sine drawn over time in the arc of a line HEY NOW! the deer return to glaze in season and migration and the turning of the stars of tides and moons that play that tune the circle comes around the light fall upon the stone with the wanders returning homeward, to rest their weary heads to set aside their tasks as the bedtime story’s read HEY NOW! There’s three tangental points in the circles girth, squaring unearths the length of the far side While shading slopes under curves we hope the space to cope contains the cattle of uncounted fields in that limit now campaign The marsh reed at the water’s edge seems bent That hints at angled light now shot through melted sand sending rainbows spreading recombined across the room and all to soon the universe is measured in its blush The falling painter breathlessly illuminates the absolute invariant which around all other bend to mend the the inconsistency the perversity of Mercury Then greets the youthful twin as he’s returning home. OK, taking a step back now The lines around the bar in iron filings drawn the needle points out that star the endless seas they sail upon A coil of wire pulls the needle around to birth the age the bookbinder found From plotted charts the maps are made revealing lands as shorelines laid the jigsaw shapes provoke the thought that went against what they’d been taught The swapping poles the layers showed the continents moved as they arose. The cannon shot so seems to be bound to endlessly fall but never hit the ground The fabled fruit Now descends in numbers caught the world upends The center moves beneath your feet as the wanders fall into line the lights around the King show the turning point it’s in the sun Caroline skirts frozen to the ground stands besides William points of light jotted down Vaulting ditches the beetle hunter goes adds to his collection and upon some reflection of maps of stone of white cliffs and seashells on mountain tops of pigeons breed and all the books he read slid open doors so long held fast that when he arrived on distant shores mutable nature had its audience at last Won’t you shine out from these rumpled clues scattered all about? becoming clear as time is plumbed with longer lines The lifting lids on the raising steam a black cloud covers the town As the miner cuts into he seam and the engines pistons pound In no more than drop of water the monsters swim around The wiggle of the pollen grains as smaller yet we go The elements become more fundamental as raisin cakes fall to solar systems The yellow pigment in the painters swirls to horrifying figments I am the destroyer of worlds Easy now! Attach the wires The twitch of the frogs legs (Mary writes her book) The grave robbers goods provide the peek of the machine within We’ve cleaned out the pigeon shit but the signal still remains While down the road the answer is known but the prize will not be claimed The curving arc cross the cloud chamber showed the math got the point before the man abomination can turn out to be true And like all unrecognized truths it had alway been so Ever peeping into the depths We arrive at a more uncertain place Where at the fuzzy edge We calculate but do not understand And yet the abyss beckons still

Cello parts take forever. Why? Cause cello is a nuanced instrument. Either you take advantage of those nuances or they make you sound crappy. Here's my process, play for inspiration, then go back and fix it.

Ok, working on a very long song. This is one of the transitions. I'm playing another instrument I don't know how to play. But all you need to do is hit things with sticks! The transition is from my song Observation.

Hey Bill, I live in Colorado Springs now with an amazing woman named Marianne. She is a folk/country singer, and pretty darn good! if you check my Fb profile, I have shared some of her songs. We were up in Woodland Park just last night, she sang a Joni Mitchell song ~ I want to come to visit you and introduce you. I would haul my trailer, so no need for a room, if there's a place to park it that's cool with you. Would love to fly Sand City! If you come to Colorado, PLEASE let me no so we can reconnect ~ ♥

I got three Tacomas, a Bass, a short scale acoustic and a short scale electric. The electric is rather rare and I had the hardest time finding one. Had to go to Tacoma to get it. Alas, Fender bought up the company and shut it down. Kind of a jerk move on their part.
