I have a pretty limited personal data set on that, I’d say. I’ve never won more than a couple bucks, enough to go buy tickets for another video. I see it as an investment to the channel, so $5 a couple times a year isn’t too expensive. But no, these things are designed to suck your money away. Definitely not an investment strategy.

Presumably you’re one of the regular lotto ticket video watchers that stumbles across my videos & takes the time you yell & scream like a child because you can’t read the room. Normally, I’d be cordial & nice but you’re on the aggro. The ASMR community has 10s of millions of viewers, a whole hell of a lot more than the sect of folks who just watch lotto ticket videos. Welcome back and congrats on your wedding! To your point about cash, yes, I believe lottery vendors in every state require cash as payment, but some larger places like grocery stores or even ticket vending machines will accept debit (just not credit). In my experience, gas stations and small convenience stores generally require cash.

Mate, Your ASMR channel is a hidden GEM no joke, I have listened to ASMR since the beginning channels many years ago when people thought it was stupid, majority of the newer stuff is unbearable to me, too fast, no actual ASMR effect on me, I don't know if it's because people don't have patience or do not understand, it's rare to find channels like this, you give the same ASMR effect to me as Catmoon ASMR and DizzyKitten ASMR. I personally don't understand the aggressive/fast ASMR, I compare it to a cat or dog. If you pet them slow and gentle, there is calm. If you pet them rapidly and aggressively in there face whispering hello hello hello lol. Amazing AMSR anyway :D

If you’re interested in the psychology and behavior behind gambling addiction and the design principles that go into this type of thing, there’s a really good book I read a while back called “Addiction by Design” by Natasha Dow Schüll. The book is more focused on slot machines, but the ideas are the same.

It’s actually a tool from a cheap dental kit. Obviously I don’t use it on my teeth!

You are correct; don’t tell a single person if you win a jackpot. Take the lump sum, which is less overall than the annuity (typically equal payments spread across 20 years) but you get more cash up front with the lump sum. Pay off all your debts, invest the rest, and live off the interest/dividends.
