I believed in Santa Claus from age 9 up until age 21. For nearly twelve years, I thought Santa Claus was real. Two years ago, I wrote Santa Claus a letter on the library computer and mailed it toward the end of November. I asked Santa for a fairy jewelry box I wanted, plus a new phone case and some "Original Gourmet" suckers for my stocking. Come Christmas Eve, my devorced father asked me what I would like for Christmas, and I told him I wanted OG suckers, and a new phone case. Dad got that for me, along with a new stocking with Snoopy on it. Christmas morning, I woke up to my mom saying "Santa didn't come." She told me that Santa is just a costumed character like Mickey Mouse and all the other Disney characters at Walt Disney World and that Satan created him as a distraction from the birth of Jesus Christ. At 9:36 that night, I finally lost it in anger because I knew everyone lied to me all these years and I never got what I wanted from Santa Claus. I was so sad, I cried for an hour because I knew the truth. Almost a year later, I gave a testamony at church on Easter Sunday about how Satan created Santa Claus as a distraction from Jesus' birth. I didn't want the little kids to hear that testimony because I knew it would make them cry.

I also didn't mention that in April that same year, I made an envelope for that letter to Santa and I had that envelope ready until November. I also didn't mention that I thought Santa was a real person (when he appeared at the newspaper place when I was five and at Santa's Workshop in Bass Pro Shops when my mom and dad took me) all these years.
