I was introduced to Petra music when I was deployed to the middle east during DS/DS. My then amazing fiancée recorded a tape of Petra music and mailed it to me. I was thankful that the tape reached me. Every time I listened to the Petra mix it brought me PEACE and assured me that God was with me even though I felt scared and alone. I still have that tape from many years ago. It is covered with micro bits of Saudi and Kuwaiti grains of sand, but it still works....and from time to time I take out the tape and play it. I still feel God's PEACE when I listen to it and thank Him that he brought me home safely and has continued to protect me through the years. What happened to my amazing fiancée? We parted ways but I know he continues to provide comfort to anyone who crosses his path. That was his nature, a caring, compassionate, loving man. I am thankful for his prayers, support, and love during that chapter in my life and pray he has lived a blessed life filled with wellness and love.

This song always touches me. It was an integral part of my journey to Jesus. The first time I heard it, I was sweating for no apparent reason.
