I've never tried parchment paper. But if it works it would be better than waxed paper because there would be no waxy residue.

And the magnetic boards are not all they are cracked up to be. The magnets are not a solid sheet covering the whole platform. It is an array of small circles of magnet spaced 1/2 inch away from each other and about an inch from all the edges. You have to be sure to place the die directly over one of the magnets or the die will be attracted to the nearest magnet and shift. I think Michaels carries them, and with a 30-40% coupon, it brings it down into a reasonable price range.

Thank you! I just bought some magnetic dies and don't have a magnetic board. Not sure how important it is to actually have a magnetic board with dies "specified' as magnetic (Tim Holtz brand), but there's always a work around, right? :) I appreciate it! I'm in the US and I don't want to buy it for $45 (regular length) or $80 (extended length) either!

Yes, HP is crap. I noticed it overtime (though I've never purchased one) then asked my friend (at his computer repair business) and two other comp-repair places and they all confirm, HPs go bad the most, along with Fisher stereos, RCA TVs, etc. ...Additionally, it was ironic to see you use your Sabrent Docking station. I have one also and it has yet to work.
