Thanks! I'm embarrassed about my lack of perspective. I'm rather shocked an $1100 scope was defective, but, to their credit, they are replacing it and will test it before shipping. Still waiting on the shipment. I'll be doing a full review when it's all back together

First, i tried 5 different rounds of ammo of diff grain weights from diff manufacturers. I just discovered this was a Steiner scope issue. Never, ever in my life expected the most expensive scope I've ever bought was the problem. Already made a retraction and apology video

They gave in and for that, I'll never again buy a new Savage. I won't however, get rid of the ones i have currently, as they are from the PRE woke era and are fantastic

That's fine. I have never encountered a brand new $1100 scope from such a quality brand fail. I've had dozens of rifles and have never once encountered that. I'm actually shocked Steiner produced a bad product

@NinjaofApathy yeah, while I'm a bit embarrassed... i didn't want to pull off my other 50mm objective that was dialed in. I was baffled but both companies have stood behind their products. I was a petulant and it's unacceptable

Ok, i sent it back, they took care of me. They also sent a charging handle for my 18i. They claimed .75 group with the first 3 shots of 150gr Barnes ttsx. Which of course i can't find anywhere in town. They didn't charge me. I have sent in the Steiner for warranty or repair investigation and when all checks out, and i figure out just what was going on, I'll be making a very in depth short covering what happened, and most likely a retraction of my frustration with weatherby. It'll be at least another 90 days due to my remodel of my house

Sorry. Got 3 kids. Work 7 days a week 7 months of the year. I'm actually very impressed with weatherby and will be doing a retraction/ eat crow short next. They produced .75" with Barnes ttsx 150 grain first 3 rounds, did not charge me, and my 18i just lost the charging handle and they sent it free. I seen the Steiner back for warranty too check

@ if it continues to have problems, just sell it. Yes, at a loss maybe but better that than dealing with crap. Sometimes life hands you lemons. I’ve had a 2017 Outlander 1000, a 2018 Renegade 1000 and now a 2023 Outlander 1000 Max. All bought new, and knock on wood…not one single issue. My brother has a 2017 Outlander Max, it has several hundred hours and still on factory parts, not one bolt has been changed, not even the belt. Just keeps on running and it even has a tune and exhaust.

It runs just fine at this point other than hard cold starts. I can't afford to replace it and overall it's actually awesome

@@rockymountainhomestead could be fuel pump. Even if the machine is new, it could have a bad batch of pumps. Those things happen to all kinds of vehicles. I never let my machines sit outside, mainly because I don’t want to do really cold starts due to engine wear.
