I love Glens' voice. These are two of my favorites. I never saw Leon live but I remember Glen Cambell at the Seattle Aqua Theater sometime in the late 60's. Many others, including Sonny and Cher on the same show..outdoors at night right on Green Lake.

Fun fact, Glen Campbell was an A-Call list session guitarist in LA "wreaking crew" that never learned to read music . Massive talent got him through this period until he was recognized as an incredible singer/songwriter frontman. It's also claimed that Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder never learned to read music either so probably over rated as musical necessity.

I was at the Jungle Bar in Grand Junction, Colorado around ‘82. Late night walks in Leon, Johnny Winter and I think Rick Derringer. They played until 3am.

Saw Leon Russell in the strangest room in Vegas 98 or 99. Can't recall the venue but I was sure happy I went out on a work night. What a fabulous musician. What's in the water in Oklahoma?

WOW just WOW thank you for the post. Saw Leon at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano a few times. What a musical genius and Glen well as a guitar picker you can imagine I put him up there along with my friend Tommy Emmanuel, Roy Clark, the Great Chet Atkins and so many more like Doyle Dykes and so many more influenced by these 2 legends. And to note the Band here are not spring chickens. Totally amazing and quick on their ears. The engineers just the whole thing is pure Gold. GOLD I SAY

I was fortunate enough to see Glen Campbell live late in his career. Regret not seeing Leon Russell. For Glen Campbell fans, the GC museum in Nashville is a must-see. Went a couple of years ago and we were the only ones there (sadly), but got to see a lifetime of his musical genius.

Two absolute giants of talent. It would blow your mind how good both of them were. Leon was so underrated by the public, but musicians knew and same goes for Glenn. He lived large and went at everything head on and full speed and pulled it off. True professionals.

Oh yes😍 It's amazing to just now discover this gem!! These 2... between each of them have probably known EVERY musical performer and/or played for/with, toured for/with, recorded for/with so many American style standards. Honestly, seeing these legends together reminiscing and talking so casually about all the greats (and their expensive divorces..sss) is such a treat! Thanks so much for putting this up here🌞

Simply beautiful. My home resonated with these songs. When friends came over we didn't play records. The guitars, etc.. came out and the soul sounds were like the tiki torches mom lit around the back patio. She was from New Orleans. Dad played a 1950 Gibson ES175 and all their friends played too. Leroy Rogers was a best friend who was a professional musician and raced motorcycles with us. I've spent a lot of time playing and singing lead from Tulsa,my home town to the Philippines and back to Florida. All points in between. This show is an incredible wave of love for me. Thanks.
