Nice unboxing mate I got my set on Saturday love this film and I heard that the colour in the 4k picture was more brighter then the previous 4k from Universal. Great set though well worth the money I'm watching it on Saturday.

Thanks. As mentioned in video I use isf dark for my sdr. You could use same settings for isf day with brightness up

Excellent settings guide, my C4 should arrive in a week or so, but I was wondering, what size is your C4, as I believe the 42 and 48 inch models have a lower brightness compared with the 55" and upwards, I only ask, incass the setting might be different if your C4 is 48" or 42".

That’s on my bucket list is to meet Corey btw I’ve been a big slipknot fan since i was in 3rd grade first song I ever heard was heretic anthem and I seen slipknots mask and the 3 that stood out the most for me was Corey,clown and Joey R.I.P 😞 still heartbroken over that cause Joey is the man that inspired my drumming to this day still I use to be in a band and I always wanted to wear a mask that looked just like his but I would love to tell Corey on how much Joey inspired me into wanting to drum and I would listen and listen to slipknot to the point where I could play almost all of Iowa. I think Vincent on hdtvtest showed that if you push the xbox to do 10/30bit colors and 120hz at the same time , the bandwidth will not be enough and it will show 4 2 2 instead if 4 4 4. I might be mistaken but i think the xbox only do 32gbps instead of 40gbps and thats why. Also , i have never heard a consumer tv do 12 bit colors so i guess its not that one he was talking about.

Great that you still have these - the nostalgia factor is priceless with original tapes. I doubt the same will apply for Blus and 4Ks etc in the future.

In DV is to dark. With HDR is better but I see on you tube. How is on live when you play in game mode ? Bright is it ok ?

DV does appear darker on the video. When I have compared before I’ve noticed very little difference. I am going to compare properly soon

@@ryantalksphysicalmedia I fight with my might what to choose - Mid OLED like C4 or higher level mini LED like TCL(or similar). Usualy is more dark in my room but May - September i have mor light in room. Hard choose :P

That seems to be a common this with Nolan’s movies, especially with tenet. However, this may be one of my favourite movie soundtracks. Have it on vinyl and it gets played often

Thats a real nice book - other than the disc pockets! I'd be encouraged to pick up these kind of sets if they continued to release more titles in the same packaging, but unfortunately they only ever release a few and then change it up. I thought the Film Vault sets would be a good ongoing collection, but they seem to have given up on those now, so I now have 6 oversized boxes on the shelf which look out of place.

I picked up the standard edition in a 2 for £30 recently - glad I didnt bother with this collectors set - would have expected at least different artwork or something else to differentiate the 2.

A silly comparison as of course a dedicated player will beat a game console at Playing 4k Bluray. You were acting like the series X doesn”t have Dolby Vision when it does. In any case the picture quality of the Panasonic doesn”t look different enough compared to my Oppo 203 player from years ago so not worth the upgrade from that. The Oppo is bulletproof pretty much. Shame they don’t make them anymore.

The options will vary on whether your tv is receiving SDR,HDR,DV content, first make sure you are feeding it the correct one when following along. Also, make sure you are selecting picture profile I do each time

If you are using Dolby Vision I don’t think it’s an option. Are you feeding it SDR content? I can check when I’m home this afternoon :),

Just a quick tip with regards the ease of use on Xbox. If you enable hdmi cec then you can actually use the tv remote to control the xbox which makes things a lot easier when watching films on it

@@ryantalksphysicalmedia no problem. I used my Xbox for 4k films when I first started collecting but was having black screen issues mid film. Bought a Sony UBP-X700 to use instead. I felt it was a slight upgrade but agree it wasnt night and day. The biggest thing was being able to split the audio output and sent it directly to my audio sysem.
