It is hard to say without more information about your case. Seven years is an extraordinary wait. You might want to discuss a mandamus action with an attorney, if you are wanting a decision in your case.

It is impossible to say whether or not, you can travel on advance parole without issue without having more information about you and your history, but in many situations a person can travel on their TPS travel document while their asylum application is pending.

If a travel document was denied, I would suggest meeting with an attorney to figure out what was the reason for the denial. Depending on the reason for the denial, then you may consider re-filing.

@juanmatabsltran. I’m also I’m the same boat . Had In interview in Chicago office 2 weeks ago . They ask me to come 2 weeks later for decision pick up which is tomorrow. Unfortunately I got a call from my attorney that I don’t have to go to pick up my decision. As the uscis will mail it to me .. Very confused and stressed.

@@imms100 We are waiting for the interview for 9 years. We have already sent a request to USCIS. And at the end of this month I will write to my Senator if he still doesn't give me a USCIS response at the end of this month.

There are some exceptions to the one year filing requirement. If there has been a sufficient change in circumstances, or someone has been in status - for example.

Payments are always immediately processed. It does not indicate how quickly they will adjudicate the case.

I have renewed my passport in the USA while I'm waiting for an interview of asylum which has not yet taken place. Will they still refuse the asylum status at the interview as I have not even traveled out of the US? Please let me know.

It is not an automatic refusal or denial of asylum if the passport is renewed. It's fact and case specific, and sometimes officer / adjudicator specific.

Yes, an asylee can apply for a refugee travel document before they apply for a green card.

Hello, I received asylum a year ago and I wanted to ask you something. I applied for a green card a month ago and it is now pending for me. I received a travel document and applied for a French visa with it, but It was refused. I wanted to ask you if it will be possible for me to travel with a Ukrainian biometric passport in Europe (because Ukrainians don't need visas to Europe) and leave to enter US with a refugee travel document. Will I have any problem during my green card interview if I can explain the urgency of travel and that I tried to get visa in travel document and it got refused? I will be grateful for your help!

Traveling back to one's home country from which they claimed fear of persecution can raise red flags, even if you return as a citizen. Visiting one's home country is not without risk, though the risk may be low depending on the circumstances of the case.

Hi there! I have a question. My friend travelled outside of US with refugee travel document and her access to Turkey was denied until she had to pull her original passport from the country she got asylum from. I am personally going to travel soon with my refugee travel passport and trying to understand how to react if my entry will be denied too? What can I do if I can’t use my old passport? Also, Turkey is one of the countries that is supposed to accept US refugee travel document but they don’t.

We are not able to advise on the immigration laws of other countries. If you are unable to enter on a refugee travel document, then it is not advisable to try and enter that country.

I came usa visitor visa then I apply the asylum case after 5 years and no interview come, in-between I married usa citizens then uscis give 2 year green card, then I withdraw my ayslum case, my question is can I go back to my country and back to usa ,(any conscious?)

Asylum when living 3 years in France ? These are migrants not refugees claiming asylum - these should be on a secure compound not in all expenses paid hotels

If inquiries directly to the asylum office have not led to a result, then other options are trying a USCIS Ombudsman or Congressional Liaison request. The other option is filing a writ of mandamus in federal court due to the egregious delay.

Back ground check is often put your fingerprint or your id number or name and stuffs like that and take minutes give it week in different system. Delaying in asylum case is to suppress new incoming migrants by squeezing the current asylum seekers. In short they want you dead
