Don't know how related this is but I have one of the 1/14 Typhon Grom BLX's that has a terrible shimmy the faster it goes. I've swapped back to the stock tires to see if it was the Pro-Line set I have but apparently not. I'm suspecting maybe a bad axle maybe? I haven't had this thing but a few months. No other issues with either of my bigger Typhon 6S's.

@jakesrcaddiction Do you mean DSC? That's the only thing I can get to come up when I look it up. If so, I think it is on. I wish I could bind this car to my DSX5C transmitter but due to the SLT based ESC 2,in 1 crap, I can't. I belive I could get better tuning and performance if I could. Only other way is to gut the original electronics and go for the Castle 1007 motor and Mamba ESC and the spare Spektrum receiver I have on hand. Can I turn off the DSC? It seems like I had a similar issue with a Traxxas car I had with a bad shimmy due to the TQi stuff.

@ yes sorry. Its your dsc my big typhon does this to when it is all the way on.

@@jakesrcaddiction I own a TLR Typhon as well and haven't had this issue. It seems DSC is more aggravation than it's worth IMO.

If you want to fix the trek you have to adjust the throttle trim slowly until it stops spinning me tires

I’m new to this, I have Mojave grom 1/16 Brushed and just purchased this, if it put a 3S will this motor work? Or I’m only limited to 2s thanks.

@ its limited on both you will have to go brushless.

@@jakesrcaddiction I’m sorry I’m lost, I bought the same unit as him (Castle Creations Mamba Micro X2 1/18 Scale ESC w/0808-5300Kv Brushless Motor) I still hasn’t received it, but in their website it says is brushless.

Im curious to see if they come out with a better version of the mini maxx. Right now i think the 1/16 erevo vxl is a better buy due to the amount of upgrades available and the tips and knowledge others have since it has been around so long

@@samerickson4953 it definetely has more parts availability but stock for stock minus going 50 the mini maxx tromps it in my opinion i like the mini maxx even in stock form.

You need rc boat bitz water cooling jacket 40mmx55mm or 40mmx68mm , I think the SSS 2200 kv to much for the seaking 180a,

Thats the problem with most of the people. Even if this truck were to be 3s from factory, people will put a 4s. Always trying to be the big guy.. you see it happening even with the bigger systems, they purchase a 6s and they will still figure out a way to install an 8s. To all the people complaining if you are going to spend another 200 on upgrades just to make it 3s, you should’ve just purchased the maxx 4s to begin with..

Man either i got a bad motor esc combo etc or i did something wrong because this thing is trash ! Its getting hot to the point of smelling burning and it just cuts out wont go fwd or backward any suggestions

It is the 223S 1/10 model not the 1/14 GROM BLX. The GROM BLX is a beast of a RC car.

You can actually print out an adapter which is available on Makerworld. Which you then slide over the paper spools and you can perfectly use them in the AMS that way. Thanks for the update video! :)

Paper spools are not recommended in this ams. Use spools that are made of plastic and correct size...you will have less problem with those

That doesn't looks like bent axles. How does a plastic telescoping axle bend? It looks like bearing that need shimmed or your aftermarket hex extenders are bent. Or your tires are out of balance. If you want to properly show an issue though, I'd use more light in your video. Honestly, you axles could be bent and I'd never be able to see them. But I've bashed my 3s Granite for over a year with no axle issues, and I've replaced nearly every other part. I don't see how a light buggy would bend plastic axles, and plastic doesn't stay bent 75% of the time it bends back.

@@Boogie_the_cat not the axles the stub axles on the end of the axle were definetely bent i domt have aftermarket extenders on it this buggy is completely stock.

@@jakesrcaddiction Me too :/ i tested 3 diff lipo (80C) 5200mAh and allways get LVC after 4-5 min 100% throttle run. but 50/75% works well. Do you think it's because of the factory setting LVC value or the lipos?

be carful with that company, everything is cloud based and i u have to design parts do not send it over the cloud. Everything is stocked in their servers, Every gcode ur send is in it. If u run a 3d printing bussiness its even worst. Turn off the printer when not in use there was a break in bambu server a while ago and printers started printing random stuff and some self destruct. many run the printer on LAN only.

Them OGRC big bore ones on Amazon work great on my granite . They have the lock nut above the piston around $30 I think they were . All aluminum tops and bottoms and comes with inserts for the eye like two kinds
