nah fuck Gould. They kicked me out last quarter, told me I could pack one bag and my snowboard, and stole the rest of my stuff. After me they kicked out 22 more people with only weeks left in the school year. I want my shit back or pay me for the stuff you stole. Dont send your kids here. Its not what it seems. The amount of sexual abuse that happens is uncanny.

This is great. Really enjoyed Mr. Sugihara's advice. Here are my takeaways: 1. Parents should let your students make their own path (don't do it all the application work for them). 2. The students really need to do a deep dive into the college to see if they fit into the "culture" of the college. 3. Students (your kids) should be in a position to feel empowered with the application process. The students should make decisions and choices of their own and students should take ownership of the process. Parents should remind the students that "they got this." 4. As parents, don't come into the admissions process with a confrontational mindset, trying to corner or stump the admissions folks. 5. Do: have a conversation with your kids about how you plan to pay for college. Are there financial constraints? Do you have a college fund set up for the student? Do you intend to focus more on financial aid? Letting your child/student know about the financials involved will help with an open discussion and setting realistic expectations.

Hi, I'm self-training and reading the OEC book prior to the course soon. For that shoulder injury, would you let the person ski to first aid or put them on a sled?
@alforddatgould3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, thanks for asking! Our policy with injured guests is to transport any patient off of the ski hill via toboggan (patient consenting, of course). Most patients are grateful for the ride, even if the injury is to the upper body. The risk of letting an injured skier or rider transport themselves is that they may fall and worsen the injury or cause other injuries. Regards, Doug Alford Director, Gould Academy Ski Patrol
@digiacomobill3 жыл бұрын
@@alforddatgould Ok, that makes sense that the local policy would look like that. Stay conservative, as to not risk additional injury. When I watched the video, I had a doubt because of the fact that it was an upper body injury that might leave the skier capable of skiing off himself. (Yes, I recognize that ultimately it's the skiers choice, I've read the first few chapters of OEC6.) Thanks for answering my question!
@GouldAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, Thanks for your interest. Here is Chris Hayward's reply: "They would go in a sled. We don't like to have injured guests that we begin treatment on ski down on their own unless they sign a "refusal of first aid" document. The risk of falling and causing further injury is something we need to avoid." Hope that helps.

Anyone who has a brain would not pay 30 grand to send their kids to a school that is having In-Person classes in the wake of a global pandemic. It's a shame that in order to survive private schools like Gould would rather force their students to come back and get sick, rather than to go belly-up with online remote classes. I'm also sure that the second I post this comment someone from Gould will see this and either block all comments, or remove them entirely because they can't handle any sort of backlash from their community; as they have done in the past. Yeah sure, "#ProtectthePack" guys. I'm sure we'll all be safe thanks to Big Brother and their communist society 😷😷
