This song is not about being drunk and sobering up... Well not about sobering up. This song is about toxic masculinity and how alcohol removes the inhibitions that are built up behind toxic masculinity. As the song progresses, the song becomes more joyful and the singer casts aside his toxic masculinity and is true himself in the company of others

Getting drunk is not the point of the song. Yes, the person does use alcohol to loosen up but the whole point is that you need to do that somehow not be afraid of the world anymore. I hope I could explain all the nuances in the specific Finnish lyrics that make it clear but that would need an essay. And also the character is not drunk at the beginning. He gets some piña coladas and loosen up and become not afraid of the world anymore. So I feel you got the lyrics the wrong way because he is reserved and afraid of people and the world in the beginning. 🤔

Yes. Song is about _why_ people get drunk, the unbridled joy people experience when they get to be themselves without fear. Artist has specifically stated he hopes people will find courage to be themselves without alcohol.

The wooden pallets are a Finnish specific pun. They are EU regulation "Euro-pallets" and the word for pallet and stage is the same word in Finnish. So he is literally performing on a Euro-stage. I bet they do not take them to Liverpool because that word play only works in Finnish. But it also tells me how well thought out the staging for the national final was, which makes me think they'd come up with something equally clever for Liverpool.

First parts of the song is about trying to ditch the gloomy and self conscious part of him after the work week by drinking with both hands. The second part is about being so drunk that you forget your normal day inhibitions and are able to enjoy life again and dance freely. That's why there is a more major tone in the last verse.

I checked the lyrics translation on google (more fool me, should have gone to official lyrics video instead :D), and I got kinda confused about what it wants to really be about, but when I thought of the song and it's music change by the end of the song, I thought that it's really about like beaing passed out drunk and then getting the moment of sobering up and enjoying the moment. :D
