Great job Joe, Andy is a great interview to have... He's pretty calm about all the turmoil in the transfer window ( we were all worried what our squad would look like after what did feel like a fire sale) and it's reassuring about our finances which is good after Kompany's extravagance. I feel Kompany dropped us in it and some of our playing assets had to be sold... but we made a profit on most of them ( apart from Wout, but the less said about him the better). If Tresor ever gets over his paddy, gets his head down and contributes to the team, all can be forgiven, and he puts his talent in the shop window if he still wants out.

2 ears ago the Squad had a value of 100 million and today its has a current market worth of around 190 million and has a much younger average age. Squad is in good shape and I would not swap it for any other teams squad in the championship.

What game was this ? The one I watched was crap, humping the ball up, spreading it wide without anything happening, no one carrying the ball forward. New players looked slow to me .

As a rovers fan it’s good to have a proper competitive derby. Atmosphere was brilliant. Can’t wait for the return leg. Burnley were in top but we got robbed. I guess it’s payback for Dunny’s offside

Rovers fan in peace good game , end to end before the sending off feel like you ran out of ideas you had the possession but couldn't figure out what else to do. Taking a draw with 10 men is good it's not embarrassing especially the gulf in class and money you have now over us. You need to keep foster fit and whip the balls into the box you over complicated it. Good match enjoyed it and the tackles old school !!! Ref was questionable too . I disagree saying we didn't come to play or win .....after the sending off it changed it. Hannibal will be a big one for you lot this season. Anyone saying trafford at fault for the goal they need to lay of the spice. All due respect good luck for the rest of the season until you play us at ewood !

Gel more yes, Laurent learn how to control a ball, Worral get some pace , try carrying the ball instead of humping it or passing it wide which led to nothing. Watch some Blackburn channels , they are saying the same thing, beter team etc , reality is both were mid table championship

8 minutes in and already absolute garbage being spoken. You would've had a completely different take if you'd of had the exact same performance from a different away team. Your hatred of Rovers is clouding your judgement. We were celebrating because we had to play a large chunk of the game with ten men and we put a proper shift in , defended heroically and could've nicked it in the end. In all honesty first 20 minutes I was worried and thought you were going to blow us away. About 5 minutes before our goal ( best ever goal in a Rovers v Burnley derby ) there was a definate shift in our closing down and aggression. And from the equaliser to the sending off it was a more equal game. I hate Burnley as much as the next man but I'll always give credit when due and I thought you were excellent first 20-25 minutes and that you'll get better as the season goes on. But I thought Rovers battled hard and grew into the game and at the point of the sending off I was convinced we were fooked. To defend like we did against one of the favourites for promotion away from home deserved our appreciation and yeah... celebration. Any road , maybe there will be some more measured contributions from 8 minutes on..... ( Edited ) Listened to the rest and credit was indeed given. I should of held fire . Eek

Rover in peace here. I agree it was a good blood & thunder match between 2 committed teams. We were arguably lucky not to be further behind by the time we equalised as you were dominating us; Anthony looks handy but our defending was awful for your goal. Weimann's goal was a worldie, worthy of any derby, and you're right Trafford had no chance either it, no keeper would've saved it. We perked up a bit then, before going on to suffer the first of 2 howlers from the officials (surprisingly you don't mention this in your pod....🤔) There was no reason to rule out Dolan's goal. It was clearly given for offside but neither Dolan nor Hedges were. There's been suggestion of a foul on your guy by Hedges but it was the other way round, your guy took Hedges out. Although perhaps it would've been harsh on you on the balance of play, we should've gone in 2-1 up at HT. 2nd half was simmering nicely, some meaty challenges & housery from both sides, but the ref have out far too many yellows to us. Then came the Gueye incident. I can't argue that he should've stayed on as it was a clear breach of a rule with a clear sanction. But his frustration at the ref not giving anything for all the fouls he was receiving boiled over; it was naive & potentially v costly, but totally brought on by the ref's incompetence imo. That deffo changed the game as you sat, & understandably so. We defended well but besides a few dangerous crosses (your corners were spot on, I hated each of them) and some wayward shooting, we were relatively comfortable & in fact created the clearer chances through Dolan then Travis. Overall, pleased with a point, keeps us unbeaten, stops the rot against you and leaves you looking up at us during the internationals!! Like you state re your newbies, we have several players to come in (new 'keeper, rapid winger & the intriguing Cantwell), so I expect we'll become more expansive as they bed in. Bring on Ewood in a few months!

How do so many Burnley fans not understand that it was given for offside despite indisputable facts? 1. The referee put his arm in the air indicating an indirect free kick. Offsides are indirect, fouls are direct. And no, obstruction is not a thing and hasn't been for a long time. 2. The linesman puts his flag out, signalling offside. He does not wave his flag and point left, which would indicate a foul for Burnley. 3. The 4th official confirmed to Sky, John Eustace and media that the decision was offside. It's on the Sky coverage, go back and watch for yourself. They ask the 4th official and he says the decision was not for a foul, it was for offside. If you still think it was a foul and a free kick, have a serious think about your ability to comprehend facts. If a 3 year old child couldn't come to the blatant conclusion, I would be seriously worried. And whether you think it should have been a foul by Hedges, I and 90% of the non-partizan media, would argue the foul would have been by Esteve and had zero impact on the goal regardless. And had a free kick been given to Rovers (as I thought at the time), it would have been an equally poor decision.

Fair result. Yes, we should have had a second goal, but then you guys could have had a penalty. The second half, we had to defend deep and we did the job. The Ref wasn’t that good if honest. Anyway, with this out the way, on to the next games. See you in January.
