Is it safe to transplant Columbine in the fall? I'm in zone 6b, NE Ohio... I have little seedlings I started in my greenhouse that I'd like to add to my garden. Also, do they like shade? Thank you!!

Where is the posted link? I've been searching for over 30min. Found same video on Container Corner. Also found written instuction. I Googled Elizabeth Morse Garden stakes. Went to video. But still am not seeing, over looking links to materials. Did find Home Depot link for rods. But no other links to beads, etc. I know she mentioned Amazon.

My Abtilon is a house plant that grows as a bush and flowers about every 8-12 weeks. I live in Zone 3, so it's an indoor plant. How do I prune, keeping it bushy and flowering but not overgrown?

Can they handle dappled shade under a tree with filtered light?

What if it's just one flower of top of a tall stalk? The flower was so heavy in the rain that it bent over, so now I just have one very tall stalk with no flower :(

Ive gardened here on my lot for 30 years and had great success with seeds. For some reason, this growing season has been the growing season from h*ll. I didn't even know what a cut worm was so had to learn the hard way with what turned out to be a cut worm problem. To make things even worse, there's a local bird here that is refered to as a mocking bird that went through my seedings first pulling out the plant identification markers and then the seedling. After that it bore a hole where the seedling was to 'mine' cut worms. Anyway, once i identified the problem I had to move fast because these worms work fast I started educating myself and then trying the different methods to control this problem. In the end, out of 50+ plants, i have 8 left, all chillies. Everything else was destroyed. This is what i found out: With cut worms one has to be proactive because if the problem shows itself damage will be fast and relentless. The collars worked the best along with going out early evening and picking worms manually off the stems. Next season i will wrap the stems in several layers of newspaper as many people have praised this time consuming but effective method.

We bought one at Lowes. Very lop sided. Most flowers and branches on one side.

Thank you so much. I bought two 9.3 gal steel bushel baskets to turn into planters for my herbs, etc. on my patio. My potting soil hasn't arrived yet but the bags of garden soil for herbs have and I was thinking that there should be drainage holes. Since then I have been informed that the bagged garden soil is going to be too heavy but hoping to mix the two.

Helpful! Thank you!! I received a bulb today from my local nursery for free :) I want to plant it in a container. Will it still be viable come late spring? I am concerned I can't do anything with it right now.

So how far down do you cut them as I was told if you cut it to far it won’t get more and I always only get a few😊

I bought a cutting with no roots of all places at a petco and it was in a fish tank hanging on the top. I liked it and bought it. Stuck it in dirt thinking it would die. It was about 6", now it's over 2 foot in less than a year. Grows outside perfectly fine in Tennessee I just bring it inside for winter.
