Thanks Toyota, I bought a 2016 Prius last month and have been driving it on B mode and I was wondering why I’m not getting those high mpg numbers I mean I’m still getting 47-50mpg but now I will drive it in D and hopefully get 60-70 mpg also I hope I didn’t damage my engine driving it on B the last 3,000 miles 😊

If you have the V6 on a 3rd gen Tacoma, the shaft that works this ACIS is breaking. Just FYI.

This isn’t an Atkinson cycle, it’s VVT. The Atkinson cycle as proposed by James Atkinson literally hinges on a piston connected to a a crankshaft via a double pivot linkage. An Atkinson completes the Otto’s 4 stroke cycle in one cycle or Revolution off the crankshaft. Toyota stop lying.

Could someone help me understand this? What's the point if some fuel gets pushed back into the intake? Now you're wasting fuel and the computer has no way of accurately measuring the fuel:air ratio for the next combustion cycle. I genuinely don't understand how this is MORE efficient

Hello Toyota, I have an issue with my new 23 Sienna, the trip history will not update and record every time I drive. It will stuck on the date you hit the reset or update button. The worst thing is the total gas consumption on the dashboard screen will also get reset when you update the trip history. It is very annoying that I would like to know my total mileage rather than keep resetting it. I went to the dealer shop twice and they cannot solve it. Does anyone have the same issue?

The animation didn’t help me understand the difference as much as I hoped it would. It seems that the Atkinson cycle wastes fuel when it allows the fuel air mix to pump backwards into the intake.
