I just got an EM3, and after playing with it it's clear I don't know how to get accurate measurements. My body on both touch and proximity affects readings. I don't really get electromagnetism or how to measure it and use that data to nnEMF-proof properly. Does anyone reading this have any good resources on this?

Hi, I live 100m away from a 5G tower and would like to test around my home and backyard to decide if we need to try to implement shielding of some sort, or move house. Could you recommend the best few devices (less than $400 USD) that would be worth to buy to help measure what exposure we are getting? Thank you!

Might get this one when it comes out, was looking at getting the NFA1000 for measuring magnetic/electric fields, but its ~$2.3k which is a lot of money for basically the same function + sound

The NFA1000 theoretically has a wider frequency up to 1000kHz, but not many can afford a meter at that price.

the magnetic field limit is 100 mG? That seems pretty low. I use the Alpha Labs which goes up to 2000. Instances that come to mind when it goes over 100 mG, is near a microwave oven, stick vacuums, blenders. Spinning hard drives (SSD?) in laptops?
@9ci5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. We were asked to design a meter with true, excellent weak signal sensitivity for Building Biology standards... within a realistic price range. The 100 mG limit is on the individual X, Y and Z sensor axis, so the combined 3D display could be 170 mG. Our perspective on extremely high fields is they simply need to be avoided or fixed - whether they are 50 mG or 500 mG. And long-term daily, constant exposure to levels beyond the range of the EM3 is a problem in any case... unless the current Safety Standards are not a concern ;-) If you need to know precise levels at inches or cm distances, it's often more accurate to measure at a further distance and use math to calculate the near-field levels. Then also consider if someone would actually be that close to that appliance or device to actually receive that level of constant exposure.
@earthcomedy5 ай бұрын
@@9ci good answer. Agreed...anything more then a 4 mG for prolonged exposure - say while driving, I want to avoid. Almost always use external wired keyboards...not typing on a laptop keyboard. Driving - ideally less then 2 mG, but usually can't achieve that unless using G-Iron, which I travel with...for use while renting a car. Already "permanently" installed in daily drive. But good to know the limit could be 170 mG on this meter. This EM3 might be better for measuring in car foot wells - where it is darker. The Alpha Labs needs good ambient lighting or it can't be seen readily. I usually don't travel with a EF meter -- one too many...but nice to see this combo. If only there could have been a DE measurement too! ;) Then I could leave the Alpha Labs / Greenwave at home! Always some Cornets (MF-EF-RF)...but I hate the measurement units, among other negatives.

Bruce.this is great! You beat the NFA1000 with an extra digit of precision in the E-field, which was a surprise to me. I have a few questions --- * Does this have an audio component (aka, the 'geiger effect')? I am hoping to mount it on a pole sometimes as a super buzzstick. * What would be a text paragraph description of how to intepret the progress meter bar across the top -- is it a time delay slow moving average, is it logarhythmic, etc? * Given how temperamental potential-free E-field measurements are, how distant does one need to be while taking a measurement? For example, if I wanted to take 9 measurements in a grid pattern on a bed (a la 9PM NFA1000 measurement), how far should a person stand away and how long should we wait for settling before recording the measurement? I hope to raid my piggy bank for one before the summer is out. Bravo for a job well done.

Thank you! We focussed heavily on low end sensitivity. Yes, 'Geiger counter effect' like other meters. We're still finalizing and testing various meter bar motions. SLT will have documentation for 9 pt data collection.

This is such a great ideal. Earth Grounding the human body. Sadly I live in a multi unit building and I woke up in the middle of the night with my heart fluttering! I was quite terrified to say the least! I believe in the body being an antenna in a high emf area. Sadly I have no control over my neighbors emf environment so I’m left with just going out side and grounding myself with my bare feet to the earth. Definitely works and is hugely beneficial!😎💕

Hello guys, thank you for all your hard work. I love SLT meters and I use them on a dayly basis. I run a Telegram channel on the topic of EHS and EMF contamination. There are people who use a chinese toy called BR9A to measure RF and I know it's worthless but it does pick up some signals and I don't have the necessary equipment to test it properly. Maybe you guys could run a test on it so I can finally end the debate over that "meter" please

Why do you make your sound so complicated. I’ve just purchased a really expensive one and there’s zero mention about a meter to check the electrical wiring is ground correctly. There’s no mention about additional electrical fields coming from the walls. So what are you lot trying to say. Almost feels like you are trying to dissuade people from using them !
@AmandaHugandKiss4113 ай бұрын
At least you're grasping that some of this is a scam. Get rid of the sheets and never plug foreign things that conduct into your electrical outlets unless they are an electrical device And most certainly never plug something into the hole of your outlet that is the ground wire, ever!!! I don't think people really get what a ground wire is. Don't worry about because you aren't going to do this because it goes against every safety thing you ever heard about electricity in your home. What you can do is. Depending on your house or apartment, you can buy a wind-up alarm clock. And throw the breaker to your bedroom. And insulate your windows. Wood, brick and concrete aren't very good conductors of electricity. Obviously, if this knocks out the heating or heating in your bedroom than don't do it.

So far, the GQ EMF-390 has received more positive than negative reviews, so dismissing it out of hand by saying it's not even worth testing seems more of a personal issue these people have with the brand. Nothing professional by the way, as the video was intended to make an objective assessment of the performance of the devices.

This seems different from the usual case made for grounding. You are reducing the magnitude of A/C voltage picked up from a typical modern indoor environment (electro-smog?) by grounding, but other videos talk about taking off your shoes outside where presumably there is no electro-magnetic field other than the earth's normal fields. These other videos talk about charge imbalances in the body. Hard to know which theory to use when explaining why grounding is good for you. If you want to avoid being an antenna, would a top and bottom sheet combo serve as a poor man's Faraday Cage? Let the sheets and mattress pad be the antennas while you shelter between them.
@formermodern94398 ай бұрын

Thanks for the info. Finding a solid meter has been quite a challenge. I want a meter that shows the actual frequencies and power rating. There is nothing safe about microwave radiation. Here's a pile of scientific evidence to demonstrate that the microwave radiation emitted by Bluetooth, WIFI, the new Fifth Generation Towers, NEXRAD, DOPPLER AND the devices we were sold, cellphones, air pods, SMART Meters and more run in the same frequency range as the microwave oven [2.45 GHz] and can damage DNA and cause Neurodegenerative Disorders, [brain wasting] infertility, cancer and death. The misfolded proteins associated with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, and Creutzfeldt-Jakob diseases as well as certain cancer types such as amyloidosis can be caused by microwave radiation... The same frequencies used in Wifi/Bluetooth and such. CJD is "Mad Cow". A brain wasting disorder. [Zombie] So many people are suffering now without even realizing it. We are told that "No specific demonstration of harm has been demonstrated up to date, even if wireless transmission has been included by IARC in the possible carcinogen list." or "we could find no evidence this technology causes harm"... It's easy to fail to find something... Meanwhile... I found it. If you haven't found it yet, you can find it here bretthouston.com/creations/microwave-radiation-can-cause-zombies-prions/

I like your suggestions for the manufacturers products as well but for me the most important thing is the relative indication of the presence of rf energy. I used to have an ED85EXS that had an sma connector for an external antenna with a few external antennas available. I DO agree with you trying to interpret their antennas' performance data did NOT make sense. The numbers they cited for graph terms were iffy at best and like you stated, open for considerable confusion factor. My take on that would probably be they couldn't be held to a solid performance standard. You're right. Now to try and convince the manufacturers (at least the honest and sincere ones) to try and comply with some measurement standards. Thanks for your video!

Okay aside from the complicated readings, what i gathered is, grounding sheets that are properly plugged in (you cant screw that up), will bring your body voltage down which will help you sleep better. Also sleep in a room where there isnt high electromagnetic circuit activity (unplug your shit at night) Pretty simple
