I think we paid around 2k, but that included installation. If you can install it yourself, it will be cheaper. First, you have to find out if your existing furnace is compatible. Here is a link to find that out: static1.squarespace.com/static/5e66dfab90dd18762d14918e/t/662c29105eb2702fa496dbd9/1714170128686/List-of-Gas-Furnaces.pdf

Rode Hellsend out in my fifth wheel with the slides out. lost power for a few days but no damage. Only got cat1 winds here but I have ridden out a Cat2 in it last year twice. I turn the fifth wheel so the expected winds flow over the long way instead of side on.

I just got my garage wired by an electrician that has 30 years experience. He showed me how to drive the ground rods with a water bottle. Went right in. Took about 2 minutes. Only had to drive in the last 8 inches.

@@MidlifeMileMarker doesn’t look Healthy ?? Also. I’m realizing our Meter Box is RUNNING Like Crazy and HAVE NOTHING ON But Refrigerator and refrigerator Downstairs. While my Neighbor Has All Sorts of CRAP and her meter. A SLOW TRICKLE. Can That Be Attributed To Ot Having The Grounds ??
@MidlifeMileMarkerАй бұрын
@@Dan-x8f3u probably not. This is what “all knowing” Chat GPT says about it: An improperly grounded meter box is unlikely to cause the meter to run when no electricity is being used. The primary purpose of grounding is to provide safety by reducing the risk of electrical shock and ensuring that excess electricity has a safe path to the ground. If your meter is running when nothing in your house is turned on, it could indicate other issues, such as: - A faulty appliance that is still drawing power. - Phantom loads from devices in standby mode (like TVs or chargers). - A wiring issue, such as a short or a ground fault. - A problem with the meter itself or an external connection.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have always said it’s really scary that literally anyone can go buy any size camper and the camper place will sell it to you, hook it up to your tow vehicle, give you a tutorial on the basics and send you off. Now the scary thing that there is no extra training, you are just sent off on your way.

Always wise to understand and plan for the future you want. Over size septic systems are not a waste. They are better protection from failures. Just ensure that all those utilities are clearly flagged so your next stages are easier.
@MidlifeMileMarker5 ай бұрын
I agree Wendy, thank you! We did have the existing utilities marked and met with DHEC and Zoning before we did any digging. So far, so good! 🚜
