A little bit tangential to the subject of the video, but I have a study that pretty conclusively proves that BL (me kissing on boys) sparked an up-to-this-point unseen uptick in both creativity and problem solving (creating a study where I do nothing but kiss boys). I'm trying to get this reviewed by my peers in the field but they're all boys and they're all way too preoccupied with kissing eachother.

Would of been better to look into the japanese side of research rather than the western side of research. Since the Devs of the game are all japanese, they likely had very different research and outlook of the condition before writing this condition into the game
@psychime2498

English is the default language of the international psychological literature! Regardless of nationality or first language of the researchers, most psychology research is published in English. Japanese psychologists frequently publish in English and attend English-speaking international psychology conferences. There are several international psychology conferences in Japan that are conducted primarily in English- for example, ICMPC (The International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition). If you look it up you'll see that its website is entirely in English. (Whether English /should/ be the primary language of psychology is a different matter entirely, but the fact remains that it is.) I think that you have the impression that there's two different psychological literatures, but it's really one big community! The information that the writers had should be very very similar to the information that I was able to dig up because it's drawing on the same community of researchers and body of work. You do bring up a point that psychology does have a bias towards Western samples, but there really isn't a distinct split between the "Western" and "Eastern" psychological communities. I have looked for peer-reviewed studies on hyperthymesia in Japanese populations, but can't find any. But that wouldn't be relevant to Bluebook anyway, because he is explicitly American in the story. As far as the writers of FGO are concerned, it is true that they are Japanese! But Type-Moon is famous for having a whole team of researchers to investigate different cultures and historical figures in immense depth. If they intentionally gave David Bluebook hyperthymesia, they likely would have had to refer to translations and summaries of Western studies because that's where most of the people who research it live.

Great work moon and star, loved your voice and delivery but if I may merovar, you should've consider working on the background try to make it have a slight more you mark to it, same with the torso of you wanderful character those details keep people watching, further more merovar consider utilizing a consistent low volume background song in the back, and when mixing audio try to localize you audio peaks and not let them explode which helps with your video retention, overall content 10/10 delivery 7/10 lots of wanderful room to grow very promising nerovar

Hey there! I jist finished ODD TAXI and i loved this video, and yeah, i suspected odokawa's condition was less than accurate lol. That said, for 10:40, we actually see that Odokawa's condition affects his sense of touch with how he plays with his tusk when he gets bored. There's no human equivalent for his tusks (and he doesn't have facial hair so it can't be his beard). I'm not an expert at all, but I feel, as a narrative device, it would make a lot more sense for Odokawa's condition to be a subconscious coping mechanism to make living his life easier after experiencing so much trauma. As a child, we know he struggles to make eye contact with humans and he has a fascination with animals, so maybe, after going through such a traumatic event, making humans, something he already had trouble with, into animals, something he not only understands, but brings him comfort, makes him finally be able to interact with the world around him, and, in a way, it did help him out as he went from not being able to look people in the eye to being able to tell who someone is based on a glance alone. Seeing humanity in the form of animals is what helped him cope, again, subconsciously that is. I also heard (tell me if I'm wrong) that the reason alters form in children with trauma is due to the brain essentially lightening the load of the trauma for the host by letting another alter handle it. What do you think?

Fantastic analysis Dr. Achemon! So it appears to me that this whoever wrote this paper, failed to do the following: -Allow their paper/research to be revised/peer-reviewed multiple times. -Not enough data to justify their claims. -Not enough participants to prove their points. -Clearly not enough research on their end, about different genders and sexuality. Here's to hoping that they see this video and learn from their mistakes. This is why articles like this, end up in the "junk science" section. Their intentions were good, but this is why it is important to present your data to various doctors and professors for revisions.

Isn't the highest achievable IQ based on the current population of the word at about 194? How does Tesla's 220 IQ work?
@psychime2498
@psychime2498 Жыл бұрын
Given that IQ is based on a normal distribution, there's no theoretical limit to the lowest or highest possible IQ. The current population certainly restricts the probability that you'll find someone with a very very high IQ, but it doesn't make it impossible. Tesla's also an odd case because people were trying to estimate his IQ which is never gonna be terribly accurate at the end of the day. Especially given that it was done after his death. Not sure where that number of 194 came from. It's definitely one of the higher IQs recorded in recent memory (though I'm not sure how they got that number). But being one of the highest IQs /recorded/ doesn't mean it's one of the highest IQs. There are billions of people on earth who'll never take an IQ test! There could be plenty of people out there with IQs higher than 194 who'll never take a test. Either way, 160 is the highest any validated IQ test can measure, so after that point trying to put an exact number on it feels a bit pointless.

what is the reasoning for putting Senku of Dr. Stone not in engineer tier of shame?
@psychime2498
@psychime2498 Жыл бұрын
I did initially think that he might count as that! But he does rely on the scientific method to solve the petrification. He creates a hypothesis (a certain type of acid may be able to start a chain reaction that will reverse the petrification), tests that hypothesis (first with birds and then with people), and then builds upon it. The same goes for his uses for petrification in later arcs- though the anime hasn't hit those yet. But yeah, he absolutely also engages in engineering!
