Just to say it the job market an odd place in America right now for the past few years regardless of a good résumé and having years of experience personally even after applying to eighty jobs at one point doesn’t lock you in i’ve even had jobs that I applied to that when I got to a hiring manager they said that they’re not even looking for any new employees they have a long-standing ad that they run year-round regardless thanks for the video and setting me up for my next few steps

I wish data analyst would actually show what they do....I know they can show company info..but show a fake example. What you do with the data in all the programs you use such as Excel, SQL. PYTHON etc.

As a high school drop out who later obtained a ged to go to college only to realize I’d be better off teaching myself my career that’s best fit for me, definitely enjoyed this video, gave me the confidence to research more in depth and also most importantly make the career change I need in my life rn thanks for the video.

Is this only for new people without experience? I've personally never needed this. The company usually gives you a task to solve and present anyway before hiring you.

Honestly, managing other people's unrealistic expectations and lack of direct clarity in their communication (often not even knowing what they themselves want) and presenting layered and complex patterns and hypotheticals as simple, "user-friendly" concepts is already my full-time job as an autistic person just living in society, so tbh I feel like I'm built for this. 😅

I'm in the process of teaching myself Excel, SQL, Python, and then going to head into Tableau (still haven't decided between that or Power BI as I've heard mixed opinions of both) But I'm finding that despite learning the programs and skills somewhat easily, I feel anxious about applying those skills towards the work of data analytics, and feel like I wont be able to grasp the day to day of a data analysis. It still seems like a foreign concept. Did you have these same issues/concerns when you first started making the transition to this career, or were you able to understand it, and get used to the workflow easily?

Are you concerned that AI is coming for your job? Honest question. I am studying data analytics and so far I don't see much AI wont be able to do two years from now.

If converted am earning somewhat close to 18k dollars a year back in here in India as a senior customer data analyst. Do you think is that compensation at par with US standards? Or am i underpaid compered to US.
