This is amazing, viewing in 2024 before the hoped release of Hammerfell, and it's such a beautiful detail to include, really adds to the immersion of the game. God I pray Hammerfell is everything Skryim/Oblivion was and more, please Bethesda, please <3

Revisiting this absolute classic

I just found this Easter egg by mistake on my own. I had a mod that turned off world boarders but forgot it was installed. I kept thinking to myself "when am I going to hit the world boarder". Usually theres an actual boarder blocking you but I went past it and saw some small buildings and assumed it was the boarder (It was at night with heavy snow). I felt like I hit the skyrim backrooms, both unsettling and interesting. Crazy how in a few years the beyond skyrim team will make this playable.

I remember ages ago jumping my way to the top of a mountain and seeing the white gold tower, didnt use commands or anything, going to see if I can do it again, that was years ago

I always knew Cyrodil was beyond that door, but I didn't expect there would be an actual model for the tower!

Haha, I can see myself in the IRC near the end. Really great times when FP would raid Wurm. It's a bit sad that those times are gone, but I'm glad I can remember the fun that was had.

Why is it in skyrim?

I wonder if Godd Howard was originally going to have us visit cyrodiil as dlc instead of or maybe as well as solstheim Edit: actually those ppl saying it was a background thing for the peak of throat if the world makes a LOT of sense I'm sure I can't see it since I use switch edition I'll check tho

while nice and all i was hope it would be dlc ok i like it theny put somting there show use not just skyrim lot beyond it but come on atleast do somting assets

Would’ve been amazing if Bethesda made an Imperial City DLC for Skyrim similar to how you could go to Mournhold in Morrowind. They rereleased the game for almost 10 years but only made two real DLC’s for it, hearthfire was a joke.

In my opinion oblivion was so much better than skyrim better characters, better story's, more things to do in the guilds and creative ways, and I much prefer oblivion graphics to skyrims

its actually there because you can see it on the map and and they needed it to be there physically to have to show up on the map
