“Life is a strange thing. Why this longing for life? It is a game which no man wins. To live is to toil hard and to suffer sore, till old age creeps heavily upon us and we throw down our hands on the cold ashes of dead fires. It is hard to live. In pain the infant sucks his first breath, in pain the old man gasps his last, and all his days are full of trouble and sorrow; yet he goes down to the open arms of death, stumbling, falling, with head turned backward, fighting to the last. And death is kind. It is only life and the things of life that hurt. Yet we love life and we hate death. It is very strange.” ― Jack London

What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

John Rambo, a man among men. One of the very few fictional characters that i can identify with. When the bonds of brotherhood are forged in blood and smoke their shadows never leave you though they have gone from here long ago. An empty dinner table seems like a burning barracks. A sight you never get used too. Break bread and prosper dear reader. Our fight is not over yet. My kamerades shall never grow old

A film and a score that rings eternally defining a decade ( the 1980's ) that is not replicable for originality in music and cinema content - Grew up as a kid in it watched all three Rambo installments - Vietnam Combat veterans are now on their way out of old age but ALL will never be forgotten for their service in the Nam - thank you Rambo!

This movie showed a truth that stands today. There are real men, veterans who are willing to sacrifice it all for people who may hate them. Then there are cowards and psychopaths who become cops and they earn every bit of hate. True in the movie and true today.

My pops was drafted in 68 straight out of High School as well. Sent him to NAM came back a very loving, caring but silent. man with PTSD. Watching him wake up from cold sweats, screaming, eyes wide with terror only to tell us I'm Ok. It was just a dream, go back to sleep. Old man strength! I still watch First Blood with him at his ripe age of 74.

The Original Rambo first blood is an unice amazing movieWar, because veterans treated like animals by their own government. One of the few movies of my life. Thank you, Sylvester Stallone.

My dad passed away last year of cancer. Was drafted into the Army in 64 out of high school. Never spoke much of the time he did and only found out after he died that he had been collecting disability for agent orange exposure. My mom said he didn’t want anyone to know. RIP Dad We all miss you. ❤😢
