Yeah I'm not making up excuses for the other shop, but you have to remember there is such a thing as customer declined repairs, it happens to me all the time and you're right if you're going to go through all that trouble just replace the part.

Hey luis how are you , i have a '01 626 2.0 and my question is i keep getting a po421 and was wondering if a '01 mazda 5 2.0 or protege 2.0 front cat fit my 626 2.0 ? Thanks

They are the same engine, just slightly different exhaust manifold and intake setup. The 626 valve cover fits the protege FS and, in my opinion, looks a lot better. You may run into issues with exhaust manifold and you will want to run protege coil packs.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, it does mate up. Make sure you get a manual transmission 2.0L, though. Not what you asked, but the 1.6L ZM-DE is a beast; absolutely unkillable, good mileage, and much tougher block than the 2.0L FS-DE. I know people who choose to boost the ZM over the FS because it can handle 300hp on stock internals without busting the gearbox, all day every day.

you can use 12 v to turn on the blower and see if it works mos off the time te transistor is the problem :-]

The blower works on a 12V but I heard that its the blower that burned the transistor. So even if I change the resistor it will burn again...

I WILL SUGGEST TO CHECK ENGINE COMPRESSION AND A LEAK DOWN TEST JUST TO BE SURE THAT THE ENGINE IS IN GOOD CONDITIONS

Danel Garcia dude I have the same year truck as you just went through the whole truck I would recommend checking the water pump because that was my problem bearing was shot

SORRY I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MU CHANNEL. BUT SOME CARS DO HAVE 2 THERMOSTAT ONE ON THE INLET AND ONE ON THE OUT LET BUT IF THE CAR IS OVER HATING IT MY HAVE A INTERNAL DAMAGE OR IT MY HAVE AIR ON THE SYSTEM

Question? My pathfinder had a lot of parts replaced and still not working. Some issue. Now they tell me it has second thermostat that has to be Replaced. Is this right?

No not that i know what it does has its different support is linked to the radiator so most likely it might be sucking air there and that's why the car keeps having issues if you send me a little bit more of the tale of what the car is doing I can probably help you out

Yes. There is a thermostat in the back part of the head. Works with the heater system.
