I had to stop watching it, you're to picky lots of stuff left behind that could have been redone and save it from the landfill.

If it works, that jointer is not only your money back, but also a good profit. As long as it works, $200-$400.

Hopefully u can make some good money for all the bs you had to go thru. Felt bad for u lifting that machine.. Next van maybe needs to have a chair lift in it for items too heavy to lift. Or an old school bus, take out the seats.
@ChicagolandGarbagePicking13 сағат бұрын
I love the school bus idea! Maybe one day!

forest curtains... "might as well just look outside", LOL. True, but if somebody's in an apartment with a view of a wall, and "pining for nature" (see what I did there?), those curtains would be just the ticket.

Yeah they would be good in that situation 😀

Hi I overall liked the video but…… over all not enough unboxing and it was just struggles to load the van we saw mostly the dresser (5 times) and the planer and fire place. When I watch storage unit videos it should be like a treasure hunt in those boxes. I know time was a factor too. But I did subscribe as I think overall you do a good video. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for the constructive feedback. This is the first time filming a video like this. I understand where you’re coming from on the video’s shortcomings. 😀

Enjoyed this clip. Also admire your can do attitude, not giving up and getting things done. A positive perspective makes things so much more bearable. The $100.00 was a wise spend. You will definitely recoup and make a profit. Well done!

That jointer looks like it's in good shape. Somebody some where should want that. The dresser and and side tables look very solid. A little bit of work and I think those will look great. Definitely got your 100.00 worth. I like this content as well as the usual content. Hard work hauling all that but I think it will be worth it for sure.

I feel for you. I don’t think that the unit was with it; too many items broken, and not your usual sale items. When looking ok’ing at but g a unit, ask yourself if you saw it at the curb, would you take it?🫶
@ChicagolandGarbagePickingКүн бұрын
Thanks for watching as always. I expect to do okay on this one. Most of the time, the storage units are an all or nothing type of deal, so unfortunately there is garbage to deal with 😀

Use big slabs of cardboard to drag big heavy items out of your vehicle or those mats that you roll around an office chair on that are hard plastic always pull the cardboard on the mat and not the unit itself. I want to help you in every way I can brother🎉 also carry 2 x 4S to slide things on. I got my tricks🎉 we moved a full size safe that stands taller than me into the back of my truck out of the back of their house down their driveway and into the back of my truck in 5 minutes a combination of methods I just mentioned to you🎉

Brother invest in moving blankets if you're going to damage your merchandise I lose more money from that it's sad. a full refrigerator dolly with the ratchet strap done correctly you'll do no damage and it'll make your life 100% easier and you won't get a hernia like I do🎉 also get stretch wrap and use all available cardboard works like a charm as well as all junk clothing bedding towels that's what we do. We do house cleanouts we're constantly improvising🎉

I really enjoyed this video thank you for sharing and that dresser and nightstands those look like they are in very good shape so those alone were well worth what you paid

This is a great idea you should do more of this🎉 this is my next step. I want to do the storage auctions like you see on KZbin. My business partners done a couple of them. We've done all right. Next I want to do an Amazon pallet but it's hit or miss😮 the one I recommend never doing is these independent pallet returns from storage places Etc are terrible they're a complete rip off that's been Cherry Picked through. Taco Stacks has gotten ripped off Tucker F upper ripped off. Total scam.
@chrisk7626Күн бұрын
For those vintage chairs you can still buy replacement webbing and it's super easy to do. KZbin lt my German grandfather used to do it all the time. You literally fold the end into a point and put the screw through it just like the factory🎉 just food for thought
@chrisk7626Күн бұрын
We get a lot of tourist trap or I tell my business partner it's worth money from the point you bought it till you get it to your car and then it's worth virtually nothing. Like anything with the places name on it. Unless it's an antique no😮
@chrisk7626Күн бұрын
I've been learning a lot from the auction professor. I know a whole lot but not enough. My parents were in the Antiques and my mom's parents bought and sold antiques from Pennsylvania men's sold them here in California every year. I learned a lot being around their house. Google lens is my best friend🎉 for what I can't figure out it always helps me. I got to get this app for $28 that tells you the value of any piece of artwork🎉

If that Joiner Works you're in profit🎉 that kind of thing I sit on till I make my money I don't let anyone take me on them. I'm sitting on a 12 13 thousand dollar forklift🎉

I wish they did stuff like this in Utah. They make you either haul it out to the dump yourself or they bring huge dumpsters once a year. Lots going in the landfills.

Well, thank you for the mention; I’m from Dallas/Ft Worth. 🤗 As far as the haul today, you already know , it’s not always the quantity but the quality. Your choices are great; don’t forget to say, when doing a write up, that the pieces are apartment size. It helps people visualize how it will fit into their space.👍👏

You ever consider moving you come to California if you think this is picking I'll show you picking up millionaires houses you won't believe what they throw away in perfect condition you can pick and choose🎉 they put everything to the curb cuz they want you to take it and tell you it works and the price🎉 it's crazy🎉 my business is Shifting I'm going to go back to doing that. It's just too easy money. Then they bring out these little half dumpsters and just fill them with expensive stuff from antiques to new stuff. I used to have the best garage sales I was a valley Legend I know a thousand of my neighbors by name🎉

For the workbench I would have just taken a piece of 2 bye 4 and made a leg screwed or bolted it in🎉 if you replace all of them with 2 * 4 and sprayed it black and no one would be the wiser🎉 people like to complain about stuff like that. Have a great day🎉

I was looking back in the video at the place with the dresser cut in half was, their were two wooden chairs that were colonial style with a lighter colored seat. I think the seats had cloth cushioned covers on them so not the best choice if they are torn and all, but it made me think, if you run across a two tone colonial style dining room chair generally black lacquer on the chair and a light tone wooden seat like a maple they can be desirable. Often times they will have an applique on the front side of the chair back of a gold leaf kind of design, sometimes not. But I saw those and thought I would mention it in case you see them in the future. I like your channel cause I love finding a good deal!
