Man, your video is a truly reality of the things we face onboard as seafarers. I am working on shuttle tankers with mutiple nationalities here on the vessel, I can tell that while you are stuck on the ship we have to make the best out the situation that we have in the moment. yes my friend. you are more than qualified to be a marine engineer. However you will be away from your family for a long time. actually we do have internet onboard but of course for a price.

I m probably going to study Civil Engineering but workin in a ship looks fashinating for me. As i understand , in the future, as a engineer if i take a one year course i can be marine engineer, right ?

@@crimcrammoo yes of course. During the course of the day we get to see sunlight especially when we work on deck like doing repairs on our crane. During our break we get to chill and watch rge sunset on the deck😀

So when did they start the engine? The main engine is directly connected to the prop. I wouldn't think they would spin the prop while tied up to the dock.

What may be the difference between FU and NF on the ahead/astern selectoe?

FULL ahead means maneuvering speed in full, while Nav Full means the instructed speed to reach the desired destination. hope this helps

Good day sir, can I ask a question also relating to maritime. I'm currently a 3rd year BSMT student here in manila and to be recognize this August. I want to ask about maritime medical sir, my family has a history of hemoroid and I also had one, since I'm to be recognize this year, I'm getting anxious about what to do? Can I ask any advice from you sir? Will surgery works (hemorrhoidectomy) for me to be board on a ship? Have you meet safarers with the same condition sir? Thank you.

Hi sir.to answer your question,YES! Surgery will work for hemoroid. U dnt have to worry.I’ve had some colleagues with the same issue as you.nothing to worry.hemoriod is not a big deal

Hi officer i didn't catch quite well when you put the control to bridge on the telegraph how come they can start the engine from bridge, this type of engine only can be started from engine control console side this is a manual control sistems and the other question is what is the vessel's name???
