Merry Christmas!!! Definitely sounds lean. I would find your air leak before you run it again.
@RcOffroad9513Ай бұрын
@@highspeedrc1734 Thanks for checking it out! I found that the clunk had came off in the fuel tank elevating the fuel hose that would be attached to said clunk causing it to draw air from the tank when the fuel was lower than the hose end. I hope I wrote that to where you can understand but definitely was leaning from drawing air. About to post part 2. Smile 😊 Thanks
@RcOffroad9513Ай бұрын
Update the clunk had come off so going to need some new parts to finish this build but have got the fuel clunk re-attached. And is now air tight and works properly. I will try to make a video of the true 1st tank… 😮 probably not a live so I can sort it out if any issue’s arise. Thanks for tuning in!!!

I just got the rtr rx8te truggy it came with plastic shock caps and I broke one and have ordered the metal one from the pro kit . Iwas going to remove when I noticed the bottom screw holing shock is not a screw but a metal pin and I'm not sure if I remove it can I reuse the pin or replace with screw. I just don't want to break the pin and have any further problems. Do you know any insite on this ?
@RcOffroad95132 ай бұрын
@@nathanwelker8038 Yes I do. To replace the shock caps you’re going to need the Serpent Srx8 stand offs. The new metal caps you bought do not bolt right on. You must replace the stock ones stand offs with the srx8 T stand offs Also the buggy isn’t an srx8t. It is the rtr which is an 811 T with lower quality parts. I have the srx8 Truggy now, but this was the 811 in this video. Also the front shock tower is a weak point being that it is carbon and not cnc aluminum. I can’t remember but the Team edition that I had used 3 mm holes also so if yours has 2mm holes and you don’t want to replace the shock tower yet, buy the buggy stand offs or srx8t stand offs. The 811 used bigger ones. Worst comes to worse just drill it out if you get the 3mm ones, would be pretty simple on the carbon tower. Hope I am remembering correctly. Good luck.

Update ???, or Gxservo is better?? Gxservo Brushless 42kg or 9imod brushless
@RcOffroad95132 ай бұрын
@@luisulloa6570 I found an even better servo it is a yipin made by GX and it is called an x80. The 9Imod are great for the cost. It is about the same as a 9Imod around 50 bucks. The gx 42kg is a good servo but has an issue, the servo motor isn’t mounted properly and the motor drive gear will fall some and disengage with the other gears. There is a fix however. If not for that, the 42kg gx would be amazing at that price!

@TomWest-ir5vq through my testing the 6000mah is close to accurate. These batteries are long gone now but lasted about a year, and they give about 12-15 mins runtime in a E-buggy. Thanks

Great video. I stumbled upon your channel while checking out some redbrush rc videos. I’m looking to getting into 1/8th scale racing. Would you recommend the serpent for a first race buggy?
@RcOffroad95134 ай бұрын
@criggins78 The only reason I would say to look at other brands and what is popular in your area, Is that Serpent have very little support trackside. Serpent are great cars, and very durable, but if you have a break and don't have the part? You will be stuck most likely because no one else will have any parts. However... They are VERY durable, and won't need too many parts to reliably complete races. I do it lol They also have RTR buggies, both nitro and electric, for a good price of about 400, and they are very nice for the cost and ease of getting into racing. If you're not sure you are gonna stick with it? The RTR can save some money. The Kit SRX8 is a beast! It doesn't really need any upgrade parts to be a solid race car, so the kit cost is alot like 689, but the value is there. I have heard the new Serpwnt buggy is gonna be released soon? But I am not sure at all. Good luck, let me know what you decide!

did you change gears on the steering servo or the throttle servo?? i plan to install one of these on throttle servo
@RcOffroad95135 ай бұрын
@degaboss They are ok but the gears are week I would recommend the GX brand brushless servos on ebay. I have 2 of them, and they are superior to the jx servos. And they only cost 23.99! It was the steering servo that failed. I still have a jx servo that works in 1 of my nitro for throttle, but the gears do strip after some time if used for steering. Thanks
@degaboss5 ай бұрын
@@RcOffroad9513 k thank you for your response, I find that for steering with a servo horn they do eventually break or electronics fail. but using a kimbrough servo saver 124 when using for steering it will bulletproof the servo, the servo saver can eventually loosen or. fail but the servo keeps working, I broke 2 jx servos using metal servo horns
