Going through that issue. Picked up an 06 for $100. Hadn't been running in few years. Sat out back of friends garage. Idk if they knew it was even 2cyl. They actually thought it was a 90cc. Sensor on carb isn't working and bogging under load. Been putting it all back together. Cleaning and getting it back closer to the factory. Want to put 2 cyl tank in . Only for the look. Starting to get little frustrated with the bog but am educating myself to make the proper repairs to get it right. Great video BTW.
@YerzengaPerformance29 күн бұрын
@@johnramirez5996 that's a steel brother. I'd grab any blaster for $100 if it had the engine all there. If your engine can still some how rev up, but struggles with a bogg, it may not be this tors issue. So just be careful and patient in your troubleshooting. Check the carb boot (between the carb and the reed cage) for dry-rot cracks under the bottom part by the clamp. A leak in your intake system after the carb can also create a similar bog. So make sure your reed cage isn't cracked, make sure the reeds are sealing properly and check that carb boot for cracks. For the blaster and the banshee, I add a paper gasket and a little gasket maker between the carb boot and the reed cage - I do not trust that factory integrated o-ring in the carb boot. If you take your time to do a leak-down test, it should help to determine if and where a leak may be coming from. Don't give up on that old thing. Keep on wrenching brother.

Some of the ruts look deep. Overall, trails look really fun. What mods would you like to do next on your banshee?
@YerzengaPerformance3 ай бұрын
@@Floridawoodsbanshee This track was actually the most tame in terms of ruts. Quite a few of the other deeper woods tracks get pretty deep after about 3 - 4 laps... With MOXC, we are averaging 100+ quads on this track within the 2 hour race period. So the ruts develop quickly.

I have a whole list of mods for the banshee. I have a wish list and a fix list after every race... One big one has been to get myself a better rear shock. After the woops in Gladwin I just couldn't take it anymore. Another big one is going -2 on the swingarm. That should help even the weight out a little better and improve handling for me as I am not a big guy. New a-arms and front shocks some day... I've been running 450 front shocks for a while now and I really don't have any complaints. They have taken a beating and are still doing well.

@Floridawoodsbanshee3 ай бұрын
@YerzengaPerformance Watch my first video. These are all mods I have been taking into consideration myself. Minus 1, I believe, will be ideal, but I won't know until I get the wire harness. With that being said, my MX build ( shocks ) was set up for tracks, but It was stiff in the trails. Although it was stiff, it actually worked so well. It was the fastest quad/ dirt bike I have ever seen in Florida. Nothing could touch it, and I'm sure now that with the shocks being revalved for dessert racing, it is only going to be better.

@@darioalcala6995 for an OEM cylinder you can still do all this work for the intake. For the exhaust port, for an OEM crank, just take 1.5mm off the ceiling of the port (open the top 1.5mm). That is a safe number that will have a nice improvement for power.
