Just found your work and your channel! I was just thinking about this yesterday, how atonement in Biblical times required an animal to be purchased and sacrificed. I love animals and cannot fathom having to live with having to do that, and the expense as well. It was a capitalism that Jesus wanted to end. Perhaps that is why I’m so drawn to both Druidry as well as following Jesus. You are a genuine soul. Thank you for sharing.

Without meaning to be controversial, there are many similarities between all religions. Jesus himself bares many similarities to the older Dionysus for example. I think most religions have a similar message but we are divided when they are documented into text and people become incredibly defined by semantics.

I'm a former wiccan who came to God in recent years. I loved the natural aspect of it, but the idea of "working with" multiple deities felt really abstract and impersonal. It was the deep desire to connect with nature that kept me going. I have always had a strong fascination and adoration for nature, there is something so beautiful, divine and primordial that seems so perfectly woven into our natural reality. I practised Wicca on and off for 13 years, until I picked up a bible 3 years ago and started reading. I slowly came to love God, but also felt really guilty for still clinging to my druidic philosophies because I was taught by myself, by pagans and by christian that the two were mutually exclusive. Other christians also tend to hold strong opinions on spiritual paths that diverge from mainstream/traditional Christianity and will not hesitate with lectures of hellfire and alientation from god. But my faith simply cannot survive without the pillars of druidic philosophy. It crumbles against the winds of doubt without it. The druidic-christian path is a lonely one, but in my heart there is no other way. What I love about druidry is that whenever I peer out into the natural world, I see the Lord looking back at me, whispering words of joy and comfort on the wind, expressing His glory and mystery through starry skies, mountains and oceans under a cool moonlit night, or warm summer day. I cry in the forest and the Lord rains His tears on me in utter empathy. I smile at the sun and His smile shines back at me from above. I read somewhere that God gave us two books to read; the Bible and the World, they compliment and complete one another - and I could not agree more.

Your path is your own. No one should tell you "this is right" and "this is wrong" - it's all what you feel and what your intuition tells you is right. There are Druid-Christians, just as there are Wiccan-Druids.

I love your teachings. I stopped going to church because I was always judged and I mean for everything. From being told my babies were taken before birth because I was sinful, I have PTSD and depression because Satan is in my heart to how I dressed or how I believed. Then I found my ancestors were ancient druid priests and priestesses and some were ancient witches so I started researching some of how druids believe of now day times and found a certain peace and comfort I was amazed how immediately I was accepted and loved in the Christopagan community as both druid and Christ follower. My eyes were opened and now I am filled with so much love and peace for God Christ and earth mother. I love being both a follower of Christ and Druid

@@themagicpriest I totally didn't notice that you were the one who commented yourself!!! I'm astounded you took the time to reply to me thank you. Might I ask this one thing how does Christ and Druidry co exist when churches say pagan beliefs is evil? All my life I been judged in church settings to the point I quit all church. I love Christ and follow the Trinity but may I ask is it truly a sin to love Christ and the earth both? To believe in all things?. Also if possible can you point me in a direction of explanation to tell me how the bible and Druidry are closely link some tell me the bible speaks of nature and can be linked to druid beliefs?

Hi Krys, You might be interested to know that one of the founding fathers of what has become modern Druidry - a man named Ross Nichols - was also a deacon in the Celtic Orthodox Church. In fact the last chosen chief of the biggest Druidic community (OBOD) once took me to stay there. It’s in Brittany France. Wonderful place. I’m afraid the church often creates divisions and distortions that we’re not there originally. Christ is, I believe, a universal energy that exists inside and outside the church. And Jesus was himself always naming divinity within peoples who the institution had ostracised. If you’d like any recommendations of helpful books etc. let me know. Many blessings, Mark

@@themagicpriest oh wow see I am not sure if I said this before or not but my mom found in my family history that our ancestors were ancient druid priests and priestesses. My great grandmother maiden name was Gillespie they came from Scotland and Ireland. I decided to follow their path way but I was wondering do I need to be ordained to follow their path as a druid priestess? Or can I be a self made one? I love being a Christopagan or Christ druid as I call it because it's a perfect balance and I am not judged by druids. All it's been is warm and inviting full of peace and love the way it should be and I'm not told how to believe. My mom wanted to ask if you ever heard of Reverend George Gillespie because he is her 8th grandfather way back obviously lol. Well I am trying to find out if there is a Christopagan bible that speaks of druid beliefs and Christian belief as I don't believe alot in the actual Christian bible. Thank you so much for talking to me I came across one of your videos last year by accident as I looked up druid things on KZbin and I loved what you were saying.

I'm with you! I'm Roman Catholic but on the verge of joining the Ancient Order of Druids in America as a student. Given that our world is in ecological peril, I am sad that the christian churches have not recognized the priesthood for nature that God gave Adam and Eve. They named the animals, tended the Garden, and when they sinned, they ground was cursed thereby. I see nothing in Scripture that indicates this priesthood over Creation has been withdrawn. I've never successfully founded anything, but I will be content to study and practice druidism as a Christian.

Thank you, Sir, for this new podcast and book. I’m a major train wreck. I’ve always felt that I had to be the perfect Christian or Jesus would cast me away. I did everything I knew to be perfect and righteous. I belonged to a holiness. During this time I struggled with being a homosexual. I was addicted to gay porn. I could never find freedom even though I prayed and begged God to help free me. I finally came out of the closet and left church. I’m churchless now. I’ve gone down several spiritual roads like witchcraft, and now Gnosticism and the occult. I’m trying to get back to Jesus and leave those other paths, but I keep wandering down the rabbit holes.

Because of a bond. When two people marry they become one flesh . Matthew 19:5-6 [5]And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? [6]Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Wow, ppl have become narrow minded and judgemental without understanding the FULL history of what really happened to our ancient ancestors. It takes Much more research than just believing what one hears from one or two sources and believe it when said modern day History has most if it wrong. We are much deeper beings than just humans of flesh and blood. There is many more layers to our universe than most are willing to understand. Most are afraid and shun what they don't understand but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. This doesn't give ANY the right to judge or attack others. PEACE AND BE BLESSED

I dont know who needs to hear this, but though he wears a roman catholic collar his views do not align with those of the catholic church. Catholicism is not a religion of condemnation. Though it includes the acknowledgement of mans tendency towards evil action which is plainly observable in everyday life, it emphasizes eternal supernatural mercy and a life journeying towards the one making this call, namely God. Jesus is not just a human teacher, he is both man and God. A man cant make you anything more than a man, It takes divinity to draw you into divine life.

I grew up in the church. My biggest problem with the faith is no one is on the same page. Countless sects, doctrines, and denominations. As far as druidism goes, I highly doubt whatever is being practiced today is remotely accurate to what it was in ancient times. Mostly because the Romans destroyed it.

I watched part of this on twitter, but it got clipped - good to see the ending too. I agree that it is a big mystery - for me, simply to be aware of the mystery is enough. I spent years searching for answers I could never find; today, I'm just happy to be alive and able to look at the universe in wonder. That's enough.
