39:14 it says "safe" to the UIs and then says "humans" Nothing to do with saving humans. lot of prep on this script to get this wrong and the part about mist helping fight holstrom.

This show is amazing, but it kinda bothers me how both Caspian and David junior didn't really seem to care about seeing each other for the first time. Like if I saw my kid for the first time that would be an extremely emotional experience. David junior meeting his grandfather was a more emotional moment. It also bothers me how we don't know what happened to Justine's character in the last few episodes. I really liked Justine, and she seemed like a major-ish side character, and then she was just forgotten. But I think the reason for this stuff is because there was a crunch for time and the last few episodes were rushed, since a bunch of content had to be smashed in one season. I still think this is a masterpiece and one of my favorite shows, but these few things just bother me a little. As I only watched the show once so far, I way be missing something though.

Aside from the other underdeveloped plot points of this amazing show, is that if the cure to the flaw is the fusion of 2 ui codes, then how did the first ui couple not become flawless after merging when they fell in love???

I think it's hilarious that Steve Jobs was both the villian and a main character in this show

I honestly think the show conceptually could be given a season 3 or a soft reboot at some point. The very last episode they wiped their memories and re-entered a simulation. This simulation could be very different in how things unfold compared to the original sequence of events. We could get a universe where things play out differently. David doesnt die, ect. and them finding out about the simulations all over again or something

The alien flora and fauna were incredibly imaginative and well-crafted, clearly drawing inspiration from the microscopic wonders of our biological world. However, the human character design is quite off-putting, even when compared to 80s anime. As a result, I'm not inclined to watch it, though the recap did an amazing job of capturing the world's essence.

Just finished the whole series and oh my god this is one of the best pieces of media I’ve ever consumed, the depth and richness of the plot and story is incredible, I had myself rewinding parts of the show just so I can get a full understanding of what was happening. So sad this got cut after 2 seasons I would have gladly watched many more seasons

I have so so so many question🗣🗣The simulation was born from events that actually happened, right? Why did Maddie make a simulation, what happened to the other UIs that moved Maddie to make a simulation in the first place? Did the black thing eat them all? So just humans survived and Maddie then uploaded herself? Leading her to make the simulation. But are the people/UIs in the simulation are real? Just wow
@KserijaroАй бұрын
Underclocking and overclocking is literal CPU manipulation terms, the show teaches you think troughout first season. Its not a new mechanic, it was explaning it all the time. You just see it in season two - Caspian who is underclocked, cannot percieve high end CIs and UIs talking in higher clocking speed. To overclock is to run (though) at higher speeds, and get more things done in a small window frame. When Lourie preforms search in season one, she is growing multiple arms and blinking around Logorythms data base. Joei Coupet, the American guardian, literally splits into parts to preform multiple activities, These are all overclocking, something that used to destroy non-complete UIs. "The more processing power we expend, the faster that brain decays". That is the flaw- it kept them from reaching full potential. Fully integrated with the fix, UI can overclock to the point of COOKING the server, if it can take it, to outpreform any processing unit ever made. That is how UI scientists find cure for ALL KINDS of cancers- they work overtime with 0 negatives

I can't be the only one who thought that the time skips in the last few episodes made the show worse. I like Pantheon's story and premise but to me it seems that the plot would have been better off concluding with Langstrom's defeat. The moment the words "20 years later" appeared on the screen the show started to lose me and it only got worse after that. In no way do the time skips at the end ruin the show but that do take away from the strength of the plot in my opinion and make the ending a lot less satisfying.

Regarding Joey, she's an explorer, but she also mentions how she's being driven away with the implication being the racial animosity she feels (she mentions she doesn't even feel safe grocery shopping, a possible reference to the buffalo shooting). I definitely did not like her character, but that's fine, imo. I can understand something and still not like it, and I think we were supposed to not really think she was a great person because she clearly is a bit full of herself and no one thinks she would be a good candidate as the god-guardian of the internet, including herself.

There were a few things that felt weird to me about UIs. Like, if it’s just code why can’t they have infinite copies of someone all at once? Why couldn’t they store an extra Caspian in case he failed or just to bring him back if anything happened? How did David’s source code break in season 1? Why could t they just upload Holstrom immediately and make copies of him to solve it or at least hold onto his code and never use it until the issue was fixed instead of storing his brain? How does the AI develop and store anything when it’s reset? How is them being reset different than them being created from the source code again? We do actually see Chanda duplicate himself fully, but we never see anyone do that again. Like I guess integrity would be less important if they could just duplicate themselves and hibernate some of their copies or store themselves until everything is solved. I loved the fights also, but they also kind of bagged me because besides in one or two instances in season one they hardly related them to actual code at all. It just feels weird for their to be something so physical about a fight between code that’s probably more a me problem, though. The fights served their purpose well enough and they were beautifully animated and choreographed. Also, did they never make the technology to scan a living brain? I was interested in where the discussion would go when a UI and living person were both alive, I guess that doesn’t really matter though and it wasn’t really the discussion that they wanted to have. Okay. I loved this show, I just can’t help but to nitpick at things occasionally in a show like this and though I want to turn my brain off and enjoy it the show is encoring me to think about it deeply and when I do there are always little things that jump out at me. I don’t mean to not-pick. I wish the show was more popular because it definitely deserves it. I just wish the final arc of the series had a few more episodes to explore the ideas it had.
@christianboi7690Ай бұрын
This show was definitely amazing. There were a few little things like attaching hatred and ideas to political leanings and every time someone had a country accent they were some ignorant /legitimately evil person , perpetuating a stereotype that I’m not a fan of, but those were really tiny details that aren’t really that big of a deal. The show as a whole blew my expectations out of the water. Really fun, creative, and interesting.

Also its so good at gradual revealing characters and stuff while being great character wise , fun and that smart, and its amazing, also emotional hitting, and the world is, ...truely epic, and thought provoking philosophical

Does anyone get what happened to caspian in the original non-surf simulation. Because like maddie says, her simulation only exists since they told her the year. But the caspian that talked to safe surf is from Maddie's simulation only (she says she died originally and that he waited too long to overclock). Is that supposed to be a reality we didn't see? Would suggest that she didn't die right away but had time to upload during the initial attack but she never got hurt in the simulated reality we saw since caspian was there to take the hits

It had moments, but for anyone with the slightest idea of how computers operate, it’s all basically fantasy with gibberish that “sounds” like the actual stuff 😂
@snowballeffect7812Ай бұрын
I think suspension of belief is pretty easy despite that. Sure, a UI of a whole human brain is probably at least hundreds of terabytes of data compressed and there's practically no way these UIs were transferring their entire selves over the internet onto all these machines that all happen to have enough room for their entire code lol. but these are all just parameters that can easily change. The silliest part was the visual representations of how they fought, but I just chalk that up to artistic license lol.

Don't bother with 1899, Netflix canceled it after one season so it just ends on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved. Scavengers Reign didn't get picked up by Netflix either unfortunately, they passed on it.
