Sorry I didn't answer. Just saw your question today, sorry. Yes, the Dipper is a very interesting bird. It loves winter very much. In Finland it breeds in the northern part of the country, especially near watercourses on the slopes of the mountains. During the winter it is found scattered throughout the country, sometimes even out to the coast.

You caught my attention as a photographer/videographer and a Nightwish fan. I'm usually not too bad at picking up languages and I caught a Swedish lilt plus a few words (landscape - landskap), but there seems to be some Finnish in there as well. The Ullava river is in Finland and I know that western Finland has a strong Swedish influence, so help me out here with the language. Unfortunately with climate change, my area of Canada isn't seeing these beautiful winterscapes anymore, except for a few days here and there. As an angler, I can relate to the frozen river. Nothing worse than driving more than an hour or two to find the river frozen over and I can't fish.

Nice to see that you found my cannel. Yes, I often listen to NW to get inspiration before an photosession. Of course another good music is also used to get inspiration. It will be coming more of whitch bands I listen to. As I has written in the end text in the film, I speak only my own dialect of the Kokkola swedish dialect. It´s similar to the Finnish Swedish language. Who is common here at the westcoast. I think my dialect could sound like finnish sometime, it aint finnish. I have to turn to the standard swedish if I talk to people from southern of Finland. But here I can be understood with my dialect. With finnish speaking people I have to turn to finnish. Some of the names as Ullava river is in finnish language. Yes, things are happening with the climate. From where in Canada do you come? As you are an angler, feel free to check my home site (www.janbjork.com) I had once a big project about pikes. In the gallery look for wildlife category, there you find some fishes.

@@MrBirtz I should have stuck around until the ending credits, eh? Would've answered my questions. ;) I live in southern Ontario and right now it's 4C. We're expecting a bit of snow tonight, but it'll be melted by tomorrow afternoon. I'm looking at green grass and rain at this moment. It's common in most winters to be well into January before the snow starts to stick around. It's not unusual to still be seeing our grass in February and March, with just a few lingering snowbanks here and there. Does the Ullava have a salmon run? Very nice website, especially the pike!

:-) The Ullava river is small, no salmons. Only common fishes. Perch, Roach and Pikes. We have to go up to Lapland for salmon in lakes. Here they are only in the sea.@@billattercliffe8655

Tåskå, groda eller Tåskona, grodor är ett gammalt Karlebydialekt ord. Används mera dagligt i Nedervetil nejden.
