I’m coming from the US to do a two week road trip in the UK come July. Being a lifelong Lotus fan and Elise owner, I will be visiting Hethel, but thanks to your videos, I have made plans to stop by Blackpool to visit the old TVR site since it is on my way coming back down south towards Liverpool. What an insanely cool car company it was… Peter Wheeler is an absolute legend!!!

Back then, all Vipers left the factory with the gas guzzler tax diff. Pull into your Dodge dealer and for 300 USD have the road diff fitted - 3.55 - then the 0-60 was about 3 seconds, and it would be the fastest of this bunch.

I've seen two different lotus esprits about 2 or 3 years ago, within a month of each other. I believe one was red, the other black. That was the only time I've seen these cars on the street. One was by a lowes/walmart parking lot, the other was on the highway headed in that direction. So strange seeing these around the same time in the same area.

If anyone is wondering about modern day comparison, TVR did standing mile in 31.2 sec, and Rimac Nevera does it in 20.62 sec.

993 911 Turbo did it in 32.5 sec. and 992 911 Turbo S Cabriolet does it in 27.2 sec. *I couldnt find the non cabrio number, but even 2021 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT would win this race, with a time of 28.9 sec.

Viper in 96 did 0-60 in 4 seconds and top speed of 173. This show is complete bs. They just dog on american cars.

Forget the trumpets, hearing all the car bounce off their actual limiters instead of a soft one. The TVR sounds good,but as Jeremy says the Vantage is in another league.
