I’m only now starting to appreciate this show in retrospect but even back when it was airing on Adult Swim, The Warden and his antics & animations were my favorite part of the show such that I could never look away when he was on screen. Making him a splice of a lunatic reality warping toon + Willy Wonka analogue was a stroke of genius

Each episode reminds me of an acid trip if I took acid. The warden reminds me of Willy, Wonka, and Joseph Mengele put into one. I think the first season was one of the best I’ve ever seen.
