So, an expensive rifle sized platform that shoots like a pistol and has less range and capabilities. No thanks.

Very expensive system that needs to be supplemented with more expensive targets that aren’t reusable I think I’ll stick to a shot timer and walk to see my hits from the 15 yards away (assuming you’re training with pistol)

Mid-length rifle gas block is pinned and no adjustments can be made, excellent twist for all the various 556 caliber (we tested all the way up to 85 grain+ ammo and all ran smoothly for us), extremely light weight and balanced, the upper and lower are both C&C'd "down/reduced" giving it a certain style but also keeps the gas out of the shooter's face because it was made like that to assist with gas flow while shooting! I've shot a lot of rifles... besides the handful of time-tested / quality guns like mini- /M14's that ya' just can't beat, n' AR's with all the customized high quality parts making the AR a competition / hybrid racer kind of thing the kids like... this is the most buttery smooth AR style rifle I've handled and is easy to swing around. I put a few other caliber uppers on it with zero problems. The modern flash-hider / muzzle brake SIG makes for this XDI is really awesome, kind of like the AK100 series muzzle devices making a huge difference in shoot-ability / QoL, the SIG brake is of that level of intelligent design and improves the whole package. The top-coat for the metal is insanely thick, and will likely protect the rifle for centuries. I prefer metal magazines and neither coat on the magwell nor the magazines have any marks from operation (I put a coat of lanolin on my mags so it's not metal on metal while in use and pH neutral in storage) The castle nut on the spring tube is pinned FYI Trigger travel distance (almost nil, just enough to know you're on it and meet resistance instantly) and weight are perfect for a light sport rifle.

@richardsonprecisiontrainin8365Ай бұрын
@xLoki_ define what you mean by wiggling?
@xLoki_Ай бұрын
@richardsonprecisiontrainin8365 it just moves side to side. Not when I shoot or anything. Like, if I get my fingertips and wiggle the mag part that sticks out. It moves a bit.

Why not disengage when establishing the grip while in the holster? Is there a mechanical difference making the 1911 less safe than a Glock or any other gun without a thumb safety? Finger is off the trigger with both guns and with a 1911, there is the added grip safety. I’ve been drawing Glocks from a holster for 25 yrs and am just getting into the 1911/2011 platform.
@richardsonprecisiontrainin83652 ай бұрын
It comes down to someone’s level of proficiency, under high stress cutting off the safety while in the holster could lead to the gun being discharged too early. So by doing it in the process of turning the corner on the draw, even if the gun went off cause you’re under stress and fingers went on triggers etc the gun is down range and pointed in a safe direction. Just like anything else training these methods will make them easier to execute

I PUT 500 rds 115g magtech dwn range so far. Feel of it is Excellent. Ive noticed on mine. That at times when fast dumping. My trigger reset was inconsistent. Id have to let the trigger all the way up and then get back dwn on it to continue dumping. (Like a hicup) Also had 1 malfunction around the 350 mark. A failure to eject. Could be ammo related. Gun was fairly hot at that point. But other than that. gun ran pretty well.

@richardsonprecisiontraining8365 im torn between the p320 axg legion and the p226 x5 legion, mostly for range and home defense where reliability is number one for me, followed by accuracy and speed. Which would u recommend between those 2? Is the single action version p226 just as reliable as the ds/sa versions? Thank u in advance
@johnnysepulvedatvАй бұрын
Im on the same boat. But also thinking for a battle/shtf pistol. The weight of the 226 causes the conflict. But that I can gather for range/home defense I would 1000% get the 226 x5 legion. Everyone says the performance isn’t even close. Excellent trigger. Extremely accurate. Has a thumb safety. Hammer fire is more crisp. Only plus on the 320 axg legion is that it is lighter and you can probably get a fuller grip. But the performance of the 226 is compared to high end staccatos but with sig reliability. Im leaning that way but it may be heavy for a drop knee holster.
