@ 3hrs 30 drive! But I go a few times a year to do all the theme parks and attractions! Urghhh Covid, cancelled a lot of trips for us :(

Fun fact: it held the world record for the most inversions on a single roller coaster for 10 YEARS straight! Pretty impressive if I do say so myself!

@@russellfamilyrambles I booked the day off work so I can leave earlier. Probably get there just after 12. Check into my hotel, maybe do one of the other attractions in Skegness. Then head down to fantasy island and get there around 3:45pm to make sure I’m there for 4pm start 😀

I work there and its very rare to see contractors on Saturdays. What you saw would've been tech service vehicles doing general maintenance. Nothing is happening on the location, except work on the dungeons and the skyride

I would ask them to make a new version of Ripsaw (which they seem to be doing anyway), reinstating the ride video from Oblivion that got removed after the Smiler incident, and work on plans for a new secret weapon without sacrificing any of the existing coasters.

I’m starting to think they have decided to go bigger for something more thrilling in order to compete with hyperia and universal (if it goes ahead), I feel Alton towers need a world class coaster or it could get left behind

@@coasterstuff I really hope so, I just feel like the budget has shifted further south to compete with the potential new universal park. Although we all know it’s going to blow everything else the UK has away, I think the next few years at the likes of Chessington, Thorpe and legoland, they’ll all receive a much larger budget.

@@watermellonman it was a pleasure beach fan club event, cost £30. To join the club it’s free search pleasure beach fan club and sign up (no charge) then when they run events and behind the scenes tours you can pay for them. Was well worth the £30. It doesn’t include park entry however you can just turn up at the meeting time and do the event only
