Crooked man is better than I expected, but they've changed and omitted a lot of things from the comic 2019 Hellboy was what the OG comic Hellboy looks, sounds, feels like...the theatrical release was heavily censored, thats why a it went through the Justice league (2017) fate Watch the uncensored version...its far more comic-accurate and entertaining, it has already become an underrated gem in global fandom🤏

All Comic book movies goes through the struggle of BoxOffice vs Comic Accuracy. Justice League actual runtime was 4 hours which is not a good thing for Box Office and also it went through lot of changes and became a mess. This is why I love guillermo del toro hellboy because it worked as a action flick hellboy, had lots of the hellboy humour with good story narrative and actual good villians like Rasputin, Kronen etc. Brining a new character in BPRD and watching things unfold from his perspective. I personally didnt like the design of 2019 Hellboy, I love the gore R rated action of it, just the mashup of 3 hellboy comics did not work with me as a movie script. Also as I said its a good fun bad popcorn movie. Coming to crooked man, It looks, reads and breaths the tonality of the crooked man comic, yes its slow and grounded, they omitted things due to budget constrains. Even I am on the fence of whether I want a big budget Action Hellboy movie or a grounded hellboy paranormal supernatural case. :)
