Rubbish yet again, toothless in attack, unable to defend and no creativity in midfield. I find it hard to believe there'll be two worse teams in L2 this season. Three embarrassing transfer windows now see us with an absolutely rubbish squad. If Simpson doesn't go we are screwed.

Great performance. Stoke know they had a game tonight. Result wasn't that important but the performance was and the boys played well. Lewis played well and can leave with his head held high.

Unlucky for you carsile fans I thought played quite well in the start of the second half and after 10 minutes your keeper really needs to improve and I think jack nolans goal did you after running round someone and a good finish jonny williams goal was his first goal for us in the league and he's played really well with us and probaly deseved a goal after everything he's done for us we have a solid team but so do you our players played well wish you luck but not too much

Harry lewis is the weak link. Incapable of saving anything. May aswell play another attacker and leave the goal with no one in.

Agreed re goalie. Does not instil confidence in me as a spectator last year so god help his back line. Looks more like a sunday morning goalie. Why was he trying to catch that 1st Gills cross yest- a punch all day long. Young Breeze did well last year when given the gloves- he can't do any worse than current wearer. I've seen Bowles and Beardsley,McIlmoyle,McVitie,Ross etc. Great team- even the big clubs were scared to be drawn there in the Cups bygone days. Come on Carlisle. There's 10000 every home match potential.

We are no better than last season with new blood

The 'happy clappers' & RC pundits will no doubt point to the fact that it was 'only the first game', 'they are a new group so need games to gel', and 'that a win next week against xxx will kick start the season...' To me - there's still no PACE, no creativity, the midfield is so painfully slow, the keeper is a liability, the recruitment has been poor, no wingers so why go 4-3-3?, tactics? formations? square pegs round holes etc etc A new division but the same problems. Yes, we played well for 40 minutes and looked comfortable but the game lasts for 90 odd minutes. PS together with his backroom staff are continuing to let the fans down and let the owners down. We will probably win against Barrow next week and everyone will be happy - FOR a week (& then we'll play poorly for a number of games & then win a game & so on.....). PS is a legend BUT at the same time a MANAGERIAL DINOSAUR. Tom, Patty & the rest of the family - you need to face the facts that under this 'management team' we will not be heading for promotion and all your hard work off the pitch, will be undermined by what is happening on the pitch. PS never takes responsibility for his errors and like I said earlier - as much as he is a nice bloke & a legend at the club- sadly times have moved on but he hasn't. We all know what happened to the dinosaurs eh?

From a Gills perspective the score line doesn’t reflect the game. If Wyke puts that chance away in the first half it’s a completely different game. Massive respect to the 533 that made the trek down!

That was a bruising. Changing shape second half to a 433 cost us dearly. Midfield simply not tight enough to close those gaps. Defence was always going to be on the back foot.

We had a great goalkeeper that people were blaming last year for making a few mistakes, he’d have saved all these, GET THAT MAN OUT OF PEGS, he has to go, and I’m thinking the manager and coaching get a month, after that enough is enough 💙💙🦊🦊
