Amen, most things that come easily normally do not cause growth, HaShem wants us to grow both in our faith in Him and His words, realizing He is the One true G-d, that everything that happens, happens for a reason, and everything comes from Him. ❤

I figure that the _actual_ moment that conversion becomes problematic, is not _necessarily_ when 'moshiach' is recognized & heard by Israel (which they call 'coming'), but rather when Israel starts succeeding or already has succeeded, and succeeding in ways above the other Nations, or that it can be expected that they will. This can be a practically big difference, between these two moments. Compare: Moshe Rabbeinu coming back to Egypt and standing before the community to be allowed to go to the Pharao in their name and in the name of the Creator. This could be called the 'coming of Moshe Rabbeinu' (the greatest hero who ever lived on Earth, in my opinion). The moment when Israel leaves Egypt properly, that would be the last moment any children of Israel could join. It was a great gamble with a lot of risk, at least in the eyes of a regular human. A lot was required to make that step. Egypt however is devastated at that point (right?). From there they defeated Egypt (!), and also other Nations such as Amalek, and this made their name great in the eyes of the Nations. Then it takes a long time still, and many wars, until Israel is finally living in the _promised land_ (literally, land that they would own, promised to them, I mean by individual, your plot of land, your life). Hence I get away with a number of key moments, regarding the question: is someone joining Israel because they believe in the vision of peace & justice for all and are willing to take any risk to life to do it, endure any hardship, or are they merely joining "the winning team", and will hence betray the peace and Justice when someone else might start winning. Someone else starts winning ? When Israel forgets about her laws and must be punished, then rather than try to hold the line of the truth no matter what, no matter how long, even in the face of certain death, they switch teams again. Such people cannot be relied upon, therefore they cannot join anymore. (Sorry to spell it out again, it was obvious already.) Moshe Rabbeinu comes, and is recognized by the tribes of Israel. Egypt is defeated (by God and Moshe Rabbeinu). The _Israelites_ leave Egypt. Israel defeats Egypt and Amalek and becomes feared by the Nations. Israel enters the _promised land_ but has not conquered anything yet. Israel settles the land and makes it bountiful and prosperous. At what point could you no longer believably join team Israel ? In a practical sense, the cut is made when Israel leaves Egypt as a group, with many staying behind. This is a substantial amount of events after Moshe Rabbeinu is first recognized by the tribes and first goes to the Pharao to 'let my people go'. From the standpoint of a simple person just wanting to get rich quick, he hasn't seen anything yet until the last point when Israel settles the land and makes it prosperous, because even on the brink of entering the land they still faced a war. Then about the 'moshiach' thing: isn't it claimed that Israel will do Teshuvah, because of 'moshiach' ? How can Israel still do Teshuvah, after they have noticed 'moshiach' ? Well, there are actually ways this can happen, because nobody knows who this 'moshiach' is right now, and the 'moshiach' could ask people to do Teshuvah without them knowing it is him, so therefore he 'hasn't come yet' in a National way, although in a more purist sense he has come because it would be him communicating something to that person who does Teshuvah. Due to all the uncertainty, especially if someone doesn't even know someone is 'moshiach', then if they do Teshuvah (and I do not mean returning to Rabbinical Judaism by that, because Rabbinical judaism however Orthodox they claim to be, they are all Reformists with their prozbul and their Rambam and their Hillel the Elder, their overthrowing of the jubilee and their fake Shabbos which they break in the evening), they would be doing that without any expectation of this yielding them any great fortunes. They wouldn't be doing it for the sake of easy gains, but rather just the opposite. If for example Rabbi Reuven did Teshuvah *today* it means he is going to create a rift between himself and other Rabbis who have not yet done Teshuvah for following Rambam, or breaking the Shabbos in the evening. If Rabbi Reuven was told by 'moshiach' for example, that he was doing some kind of wrong but he didn't know that person was 'moshiach' and Rabbi Reuven listens, he is potentially messing up his own life quite a bit for the sake of the truth. Didn't Moshe Rabbeinu 'mess up his life' quite a bit, when he murdered those guards ? He did, he took such a risk, he sacrificed a position at the Egyptian Palace, no less, and became a refugee, a fugetive who would be executed if found by the greatest Empire in the day. Let's say for argument sake that 'moshiach' tells Rabbi Reuven something important about charity (just random), and he listens but it goes against what all the Rabbis say. That's going to be tough for a while. Now you can say: that was a real Teshuvah, because he did it for truth sake, there was nothing to gain in it for him, nothing at all. (Something funny just entered my shriveled brain: if 'moshiach' says he is 'moshiach' there is absolutely nothing to gain from that, except scorn, hatred and being called an idiot, or worse being hauled away into an institution.) Then there is this moment where a group of people potentially does Teshuvah because 'moshiach' told them something (I guess!), and the moment where they don't know if they will succeed, until the moment that they start to succeed or could expect to become succesful. When the risk is on (so to say, heh, a "risk on environment" ;-), the Teshuvah is (more) real, and that condition could last for an unknown amount of time and (extreme) events, even _after_ a _potential_ 'moshiach' might have 'come'. Also, even if you believe someone is 'moshiach', you don't ultimately _know_ if you are human, because we are humans and we basically don't know anything for certain (right?). We tell ourselves we know, but do we _really_ ? Our minds are weak, even our greatest certainties are like smoke in the wind. If your _believe_ is strong, and it makes you face up to the hardships, that could be good enough, even if you do it for the eventual prosperity, because then when your Nation falls down or if the world decays, you might again think the same: I will hold the line, because I know in the end only Truth and Peace will survive, and I want to earn my place in that world. Well, it's a thought, meaning: there could still be quite some time to do Teshuvah, from the first moment 'moshiach' came. I don't know if it is ultimately true, but it seems to make some sense at least. You can still do Teshuvah, when everything seems to be uncertain and risky, even though 'moshiach came' or came in a minor way ? (Sorry to be such a chatterbox. The point is of course, that you should do Teshuvah for the prozbul, and the other things, while you can. It goes to your merrit if you do so, without there seemingly being anything to gain yet. You didn't see that angle coming, did you, Rabbis, that _you_ are the ones who are causing trouble as well.)
