I have it on my 2011 and it rattles due to the broken dashboard.

i'm thinking that this dash is a little thinner because the air bag is underneath and the deployment would be reduced or the passenger would be injured if the dash were thicker. does this make sense?

What if you missed a spot for adhesive and need to put more on the spot i missed later on? Would i need to take off the replacement dash and reglue all the spots over again since this is on the very left of the passenger side of the dash

Have a 2007 gmc sierra 17 years old less than 50k miles always parks inside a temperature controlled garage and the dash is cracked. GM is building junk.

I got an 07 tl and i dont know how but got no cracks in my dase except for like 2 u cant even notice. I still want one of those tho to protect from getting any cracks.

Perfect fit and easy to install. I used pvc pipe, 3/4inch as prop rods. I was amazed at the llooks and the noise cancellation on my >09 Sierra. Great product. I did not write this review as it reads. I did put it on my 09 Sierra and absolutely love it. I did not use pvc as braces. Matter of fact, it fit so well I didn't even glue it down. It was an excellent product and I would buy again if I ever need one. It bothers me that someone altered my comment. Honesty without deception is the best thing.

A good video. It showed the steps. One thing I think you should have done is explain the purpose of the cardboard near the windshield. Everything else was clear. Other than that, thumbs up. :)

I completed the job and deleted my orininal post. First, put the windows down. 1. Get some paper towels, plastic putty knives, and water to deal with the adhesive. It wipes off easy. 2. I made five sand bags at a little over 15 lbs each. 3. I made a big mistake with the telescoping poles. I tried to use painter's poles but they stipped off. Your poles are for the right and left of the glovebox. This area is angled, so use something short. Looking back, I'd have drilled a small block of wood for a small piece of PVC. 4. The dash is secured up near the windshield by 3 7mm screws. Use that same socket to loosen up the panel below the steering wheel. the first bolt to the left is in the parking brake recess, and also loosen the one to the right. I couldn't get the Dashskin to sit behind the panel because it was too tight. I used a flathead screwdrive to lever the Dashskin in on the right by the cigaretter lighter. 5. I used shop towels and a screwdriver to hold down the Dashskin at the windshield. Just tuck them in along the edge. 6. I used on shop towel wedged between the ouside wings of the Dashskin and the door. (that's why we dropped the windows). You don't need much towel, too much and you will break something with all that leverage. 7. Easy on the goo around the vents, it tends to spurt out and will give you fits removing. All in all, this was a great product. You will probably need two tubes of adhesive, I did. The fit and overall look is really impressive.
