@@OuijaSpider thanks a lot! I wasn't expecting you to comment, but I'm so glad you did because I wanted to thank you. Your WR run with Ramona was such a helpful resource for getting my time down and improving as quickly as I did! And if you're offering, I actually wouldn't mind some advice on Kim because as much as I enjoy playing her, she's way out of my wheelhouse. Ramona has such a straightforward moveset because, yeah, having free unblockable with a dominating hitbox is pretty much always a valid option. As Ramona, I hardly ever use weapons because you lose access to her best tools, but as Kim I going to be relying on dash attacks and running a weapon most of the time to clear out trash mobs? I think I remember Kim also has a unique quick kill against Todd using her summon during a screen transition or something? And maybe some others? Honestly, anything would be helpful.

@@IWearTimepants So while I haven't ran Kim for fullgame based on what I know from Kim in Boss Rush, she is the weakest character in the game and because of that has to do a lot of stuff differently. Not having an unblockable hurts her a lot but as for objects you're probably using them at basically the same points Ramona does being Stage 2, swords in Stage 4 and the end bit of the elevator in Stage 6. The big changes for Kim is how do you handle not having an unblockable. Her best kill option without a weapon for weak characters should be her strong dash followed by hitting them on the ground. Because you can't give yourself hyper you have to get it manually from kills without getting hit yourself which complicates things even further. This is also why, despite NegaScott being the best character in Boss Rush, the amount of movement you need to do in fullgame makes him worse than Ramona. My best overall advice with Kim is really just to learn how blocking enemies work. Enemies block significantly more if you're on the same vertical level as they are when you start the attack, however randomly even if you don't do that they may just block anyways, but don't just spam attacks and hope they don't just chain block everything because that'll probably turn out messy. Final thing, idk how the Todd early KO with Kim works tbh lol, it's a cool timesave it's just Kim is so slow that I never really learned how it works.

@@OuijaSpider thanks for the information! Yeah, she definitely seems like a totally different playstyle in a lot of respects. Speaking of unblockables, does anyone else have one besides Ramona? She's the character I have the most experience with by far, so I'm not sure if she's unique in that regard.

@@IWearTimepants Scott has an unblockable punch but not NegaScott and Knives has her spin kick. But yea Ramona's unblockable is the best one by far. Also if you want a mini guide on the robot rebound kill for fullgame, you want to line up in the place on the screen where I did in my run. If you did it right the left hand should back up then (rng dependant) slam down, right before you get hit dash right and jump. After that 4 things can happen, if you get grabbed mash out falling attack and hope you get hit by the right hand. The other 3 are where the right hand is on the screen. Left = Air recover from rebound late, dash right, then left + jump when the hand smashes. Middle = Air recover earlier and you'll get double hit Right = Don't air recover, get up, try to get the hand to slam but this one is much less consistent.

I'm thinking about eventually getting it down another 2 minutes, but that's a plan for Someday. And honestly, man, I appreciate you sticking around! I was really happy when you mentioned this was a favorite of yours, also. I did a Kim run last night just as a refresher, and it really made me appreciate how different all the characters play. Kim is such an interesting grab bag of mechanics and tools I almost want to break out the mic so I can get super nerdy about it.

​@@LevantineR1 aww! Thank you!! I was especially proud of landing that. Unfortunately, pierce damage isn't applied to gravity-assisted attacks. As a man of science, I thought doing the forward+R2 attack instead of a regular plunging attack would circumvent that, but I guess not.

That's what I get for waking up a guy with a hangover.

I was really surprised here because usually you get a couple seconds at the start to port out, but it was straight into the fight.

Yeah, I have a friend with an NG+7 save before the Living Failures. Whenever I make a new character, I'll run to Research Hall and we'll farm the blood echoes glitch to max.

I hear there are a lot of people who prefer it that way. The fight club I play in allows them, but I can see the appeal.

Are you a fellow cane main? After playing for like 4 years, I finally really gave it a go and it quickly became my new favorite weapon!
