Cement is NOT like a box of chocolates not knowing what you are going to get. That driver or his company must be dumbasses. We had a huge pour at our plant where trucks were coming in 24/7 for almost a week. If the cement contractor didn’t like the consistency he simply sent it back. The contractor been in our plant for 20 plus years. They are simply the best. That old man driver and his company would be taking back a lot of loads. At our plant they were doing core samples once cured. You won’t find that core sample in a box of chocolates. You and and cement company would be held accountable. The stress level was high that’s why we keep the contractor with 20 plus years

I'm not a concrete guy but I watch a lot of concrete videos and I'm curious as to what was the need for your finisher to stand in the wet concrete to use the meg when he could've done that from the outside of the form? Then you had to put in more concrete in the area where he was standing. Just curious.

Awesome video and channel man, I just think when it comes to concrete work and demolition videos etc, it’s best to talk in the intro, and just record progress of the job. Minimal talking after that.. I just thought it was chit chatting the whole video with minimal work being shown 😅

Don't forget to pull up the rebar a bit....so the rebar is not just sitting at the bottom of the slab.

Slump is too high. 4.5 would be better : looser cream would come to top and self level. Way to much trowel work. ALSO : screeding is being done as if one pull is OK and not enough cream is being brought up. Wetter cream would have made the brooming a lot easier and more even Good video.
