US is finally lifting the DJI ban on Sep 1, 2024. However, China just announced export ban or control of DJI drones beginning, yep, you guess it, Sep 1, 2024. LoL you got to give Beijing credit for sense of humor - but they are serious.

It is just too expensive to use as an everyday drift aid. It would be too hard to sell to all different farmers as an applicator. I would be interested if you would see just the dra without any yield boost

So amazing. I wonder how you figure out those numbers you need for spraying. I'm not in agriculture but if you would have a drone business offering this service I guess you would somehow have to know. I'm living in Japan so language is obviously a biiiig hurdle for me but I'm currently thinking what kind of drone related businesses could be done. Especially since it's very mountainous here and the decreasing population Japan tries to find to right ruleset for more drone application and I'm really into this. I come from 3d digital art and game background so I was currently more thinking of scanning and construction etc. since the software and capturing seem to overlap to some degree and I could do that when my language skills get better and I manage to get a license here.

We have figured out an 6 drone trailer that has the flight decks at 2 feet or less above ground level. Flight decks that are 8 feet above the ground look way too dangerous.

Seriously… Can you cave men get a big battery bank to run your equipment and charge rather than running that obnoxiously primitive ICE generator?
@adamthompson84327 күн бұрын
So how much for the whole deal? Drone, batteries, trailer, up grade for the filler, tanks everything. How much for everything on that trailer and how much for the trailer? Include the Bimini and everything. Total cost for that entire setup you have in the video. Except the truck. Don’t need the price on the truck.

Drone spraying will never be practical until the drone can work autonomously. I don't want to spend all day filling small tanks and swapping batteries.
@ToastersNBathWtr4 күн бұрын
Then its not for you, the drone does work autonomously you just have to fill it. Your argument is the same as saying cars are not practical because they do not drive themselves.
@Landrew04 күн бұрын
@@ToastersNBathWtr John Deere has already developed a fully autonomous drone spraying system. The rest of them will never catch up.
@ToastersNBathWtr4 күн бұрын
@@Landrew0 yes, but don't you have to refill its tank when its lands? Its just a bigger drone made by a tractor company that has locked down operating systems and forcing electric junk down our throats.
@ToastersNBathWtr4 күн бұрын
@@Landrew0 On top of that you only want it automatic because you cant even fly a drone in the first place, to be honest I am impressed that you managed to fly a drone into guy wire. therefore, you should open your mind to other possibilities and accept the fact that farming requires a little more work than just filling a tank and charging batteries.

Dont you think 10mtr above ground is too high for crop spraying. Considering the air effect on the landing of the chemicals tot he ground, having used a Boom sprayer and seeing the reaction of the the one you have. At the end one may spend more on the agrochemical because a ot will have gone with the air and the soil does nt get more. So solution may be to look into reducing the distance above ground to as minimum as you can

lol, try spraying by hands and you tell me you don't want to swap batteries.
@Landrew05 күн бұрын
@@JimmyDoyel-by2cp No one would ever want to do that. Filling tanks all day, and swapping batteries either. A commercial unit might have 10 batteries to save downtime, but a private unit can sit and recharge, until its ready to go again.
