We are heading there in June with our 1 yr old boy and I was wondering what camera you used to take your videos on as I’m also interested in video documenting our travels like you and your wife have. Do you use a gimbal your shots are really stable and high quality. Would love to know. Cheers

I’m sorry that you missed the view. I am only 40% sold on visiting Zermatt. The day that a visit would work out is our travel day from Montreux to Locarno. I am leaning more towards Chamonix and a trip up to Mont-Blanc. This travel day is between multiple days in the same hotels so I am comfortable with leaving early and arriving late. I believe that one must allot at least 4 hours round trip from Visp to see the Matterhorn. Does that sound reasonable?

What time of year?

I just booked, as in 10 minutes ago, flights for an 8 day trip to Switzerland. We are in OKC and flying to Frankfurt. Car rental there is much less, by $1,000 for the 89 days. This will be our first trip, other than a drive through in 2007, to Switzerland. This will be our 9th trip to Europe and the third in 18 months. We are savvy planners and have done three trips through Ireland but Switzerland is puzzling me. Our trip is in August. I’m currently putting together a list of villages viewed in various You Tubes. I will watch your other episodes and I am sure there will be questions. Thanks for posting this.

I stayed 4 nights at Valley hostel, still haven't finished all the hikes, going back July 2023 to finish up.

Weather is more predictable first 2 weeks of July. That was when I was there, blue sky everyday, maxed out on hikes everyday. Going again July 2023
