Hello , i am new to your channel and subscribed . I am new to onenote and found your videos extremely helpful 🙏. Please request you to make a video on how you take your meeting notes in onenote for multiple projects you work on , how you create a "Minutes of Meeting" in onenote ? Sometimes my Boss asks me to summarize quarterly meeting , i take lots of time for me ☹ to summarize 3 months meetings at one go . Do you use any AI to summarize your Meeting notes for actions and insights etc ? I use apple notes for my personal works, But at office i am restricted to use only Microsoft products. I have decided to use Onenote now for my meeting notes . A video on this will be helpful from you . Your explanation is too good and Luckily found your channel today 😊

Hello and welcome! I'm glad you find my tutorials helpful, and I can totally empathise with you having to summarise and re-summarize meetings. That must take a lot of effort. I do use AI, and I also have certain notetaking structure + templates to make life easier. Of course, I'll make a video fully focusing on meeting minutes, thank you for giving recommendation 😊

Hi. Can this also be done for Outlook for Web ?
@ThePlannerPortfolio5 ай бұрын
No, this conditional formatting is only available in the desktop app. What you can do as a workaround is to set a Rule ( View >> View settings >> Rules >> Add New >> Condition: from certain email address >> Add an action: Category >> You can select an existing category here or one specifically created for this Purpose. Then you have to "Run" this rule. My rules appear on the left under the subject title, so if I set a red Category color with BOSS Category name, it's still a bit easier to spot.from the mass

Does send to OneNote work on outlook for Mac? I can’t find it.

Yes, this function is available in any recent desktop version for Mac. As I understand it's available for Microsoft 365 subscription only though

Hello, thank you for the nice informative video. I am using the New Outlook and am not able to find the Send to OneNote option. Do you know if it is available or where I might find it?
@ThePlannerPortfolio6 ай бұрын
Hi, yes, it is available. If you go to the email or you're in the main list of emails, next to the 3 dots there will be a little "window" called "Apps". Clicking on it you'll get the same send to OneNote option.

I just happened to stumble onto your channel. Good tips! What is that App you're working in for your calendar/planning/tasks? That seems so much like the old "Day Planner", which I loved and miss mine at times. I do wish Outlook, OneNote, Tasks, ToDo would integrate much like the old Day Planner. Your template you're working in so much reminds me of the Day Planner. What is that? Does it seamlessly integrate with MS apps: Outlook, Calendar, ToDo, Planner, Tasks, OneNote? If so, that's a great app! Does it work with tablets and as a standalone app? Or is it online and need an Internet connection?
@ThePlannerPortfolio6 ай бұрын
The App I'm working on is OneNote and it's one of the planners I've created and made available in my Etsy shop. I do use as many Outlook calendar, To Do and OneNote integration features as possible to get the most out of all of my priorities and projects. I'm glad you liked it 😀 I alternate using a computer and an iPad and sometimes on phone (Android and IOS, too... I have a lot of gadgets :-) )To make most of OneNote 's syncing abilities, you need an Internet connection. But it still works if you struggle to connect.

What is that App you're working in as your Planner? I'm one from the days of carrying a "Day Planner" and did like how to-do's, events, note, etc... could be all put into a single day or week view. Wish Outlook or MS would create a template that could merge ToDo, Calendar, Tasks, Planner, OneNote all into one. Then if it could have links to documents (Excel, Work, PDF, etc..) within that would be awesome. Sounds like an App idea to me. Now to find programmers. ;-P

Haha, sign me up! Up till that point I'm going to use OneNote as my Day, week and year planner. I do create tasks from there that I add to my Outlook calendar. I also have some wishes such as changes.on Outlook's side are reflected in Onenote but I still get reminders and I can track my tasks in both OneNote and MS ToDo, so I'm happy 😊
@jeffburkholder21486 ай бұрын
@@ThePlannerPortfolio Agree. I do love OneNote, I have 15 files. I do wish there was a direct link/tie to/from OneNote to Calendar and ToDo. Once MS can fix that and then having all of that tie to MS Teams would make it an amazing tool for all of us.

This is a bit out dated as one note is currently being phased out and will disappear in 2025. Most people stopped using it a while ago because of this

Microsoft has stated that OneNote for Windows 10 will reach end-of-support in October 2025, but until then, it will continue to work and receive important updates. For users currently utilizing OneNote for Windows 10, Microsoft encourages transitioning to the OneNote app on Windows for the latest features and best sync experience. The OneNote app, available as part of Microsoft 365, will not only remain but is being actively developed and improved upon.

HIGHLY unlikely as they are constantly adding new stuff. Next up is the integration of ms loop into planner. They are ending support for A VERSION of OneNote. In other words, they are cleaning up and standardizing their way of working.

What version of Onenote are you using? Mine doesn't have the email function on the home ribbon- Does it have to be the business Office 365 (I have the family / personal plan)
@ThePlannerPortfolio6 ай бұрын
I also use the family plan for Microsoft 365 and that's OneNote version I'm using. The email feature should be available across several versions of OneNote, including OneNote for Microsoft 365, OneNote 2021, OneNote 2016, and OneNote 2013.

@@ThePlannerPortfolio Thanks - I found out that I was using OneNote for windows 10 which does not appear to have the feature (and I understand is not being supported anyway going forward) I downloaded the OneNote app (the Windows 11 one) and that does have the feature.
