The hash doesn't come on home page when i hit localhost:3000, I just see localhost:3000 when I move on subsequent pages it works with hash. Am I correct or is that possible to show localhost:3000/# on the home page. Thanks

When I setup the websockets on my localhost it works just fine, but when I set the encrypted to true and enable wss, because my server is on https, it works, but it takes too long to broadcast. About 10 seconds. And my server is much more powerfull than my localhost... When I use the pusher api standart plan, it doesnt take this long. Any ideas? I had also to set client_options verify to false in broadcasting.php and verify_peer to false in websockets.php, otherwise it gives me cors error saying that my certificate is invalid, but it is bought and it works on my company machines... Could it be that this is the reason why it works but takes too long?

Hey thanks for the content! I finally managed to make progress. Just one thing, I cant broadcast with broadcast() function in laravel. It says "cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate", is this a problem with the certificate that I set in .env? because its the same certificate that we use on my server and it works just fine, but I had to install the parent certificate in every machine on my company. Any ideas?

I spent A LOT of time trying to figure out why Fortify redirected me to my home page after some requests, for example, reset password, and returned the code for an HTML page instead of the proper JSON response. I found the solution, in case someone needs it: you need to create another middleware to handle the Json responses. Here is a quick guide on how to do it, but you can search something like "JSON response middleware on API routes in Laravel" and you will find it. 1. Create a new middleware. Command: "php artisan make:middleware JsonRequestMiddleware" 2. Write the following code in the "handle" function, before 'return $next($request);' : '$request->headers->set("Accept", "application/json");' 3. The resulting code will be something like this: public function handle(Request $request, Closure $next) { $request->headers->set("Accept", "application/json"); return $next($request); } 4. Add the middleware in your App\Http\Kernel.php, in $middleware array, before every other middleware you might have protected $middleware = [ \App\Http\Middleware\JsonRequestMiddleware::class, // Other Middleware::class comes after... ]; 5. Clear the application cache to make sure the changes apply I hope this comment is useful to someone :)

The definition of Procedural Programming is wrong here: Writing or using an API to handle persistent objects / tables, and using functions are part of procedural. It only becomes non procedural when you introduce restrictions like only using instances of classes, or having no side effects. Everything else is procedural. Otherwise the linux kernal and all software before Java would contain no function definitions.
