The Mrs has a Model 3, I have the AWD Ioniq 6. She says the Ioniq 6's interior is too busy and prefers the simplicity of the Model 3's interior. The Model 3 is smaller and easier to park too. That said, she does admit that she appreciates the features and space of the Ioniq 6 on longer journeys, and so do the kids.

You really should give the Ioniq 5 a try. Who knows, you might not find the size being such important factor in your driving experience. I still remember driving a pickup for the first time. I got used to it after half an hour.

@LynaVasyVoyage
@LynaVasyVoyage Ай бұрын
Hi bruh. I hope I don't mix this up with another car's setting. At the touch screen, go to Basic Vehicle Information. Then, scroll down to Wireless Charging Settings. It should be below the tailgate height setting. You can toggle the wireless charging on/off there. Below it is the Forget Reminder Function. If that setting is on, the car will 'notify' you if you try to leave the car and your phone is still in the car being charged. Hope that helps.

I saw the new N variant at the Bangkok Motor Show. Killer looks, powerful but at the expense of range. Can't wait to see your closeup shots when you cover this. Btw, please use more lighting when you shoot in darker areas. Your shots in well lit areas are bloody good but not so much when shooting dark interiors in low light.

Thank you for a really comprehensive first look video of the OMODA E5 - it’s great you show the detail - vanity mirrors, door cards, arm rest, centre console in detail, sunroof opening, glove box all really useful and interesting details of the car - even the close up of the steering column stalks is really useful. Great commentary too and useful comparisons. Top marks. So impressed I’ve liked and subscribed.

@@LynaVasyVoyage Nice of you to ask my opinion. It’s supposed to be available in the Uk March/April 2024 but seems like the price hasn’t definitively been announced yet. That will be all important. It’ll likely be compared with Kona, MG4, ID 3 and BYD Atto and I think space and specifications wise it compares well and will have appeal to people who want buttons and levers as opposed to a minimalist interior. Indicator/wipers/lights incorporated into a single steering column stalk is a little unusual though, Front wheel drive, a DC fast charge of just 110kW and an LFP battery meaning a slight lower range - these are the l negatives. Other than stalks those other things are similar to the cars it’s competing against. The plus for the OMODA is the level of comfort and practicality compared to its competition; The ID3 has no frunk, the MG has no rear seat lighting, nor cup holders nor USB sockets, the Kona has slightly slower DC peak charging of 100kW. The BYD Atto 3 has even lower peak DC charging speed of 89kW. Boot space of 483L (depending on which source you use) compare to 385L of ID3, 440L of Atto 3, 446L of the Kona. If range is compatible with owners use case and blistering pace is not a requirement then it could be a compelling choice in its category. Premium features of the OMODA ( multi-link rear suspension, two level illuminated vanity mirrors, puddle light “OMODA” projection and one pedal driving (the Kona is the other car that has it in the group mentioned) add to the appeal. I’m a really satisfied and proud owner of 2 years of a fully spec’d GV60 Premium (RWD) but that’s a totally different category of vehicle altogether.

@@Antiguan_Dart Whoa! That's a nice looking car , that GV60. We don't have it over here. What can you tell us about it...from an owners perspective. Btw, sorry to bother you with more questions but we're curious creatures.
@Antiguan_Dart
@Antiguan_Dart Ай бұрын
The GV60 is a great luxury, tech filled, future proofed Cross-over/SUV. However the best features are additional options - Nappa leather with suede headliner, sunroof, vehicle to load, Innovation pack (for HDA2, HUD, surround cameras, self parking) and Bang and Olufsen stereo with noise cancellation) - these easily add £10k to the base price but worth it in my view. Front heated and ventilated seats, rear heated seats , and heated steering wheel is standard. Its practicality is limited by its relatively short 4.515m length (compared to 4.750m length of Model Y, 4.680m length of Kia EV6 or even the 4.635m of Ionic 5. This gives it a 432L boot space so a family of 4 into outdoor activities would struggle but ideal for a couple or family of three and there is a 52L frunk on the RWD version. The drive is extremely quiet, the ride is firm but comfortable with a good road feel. The features not often mentioned are the projected on road dotted reverse lights (beautifully visible at night) to warn other road users perpendicular to you that you are about to reverse, The self park feature can be done while in or out of the car using the key fob, the paddles behind the steering wheel for Regen are great common to Kia, Hyundai, Genesis EGMP vehicles. The rear passenger window shades are a nice touch, wing mirror puddle lights which project the Genesis logo on the ground look great, massage drivers seat activates automatically after an hour driving and augmented reality to satnav instructions ( arrow graphics are superimposed on the infotainment screen showing a front camera view of the road and which lane or turning to take. ) With a plethora of buttons, switches, jog wheel, switches and screens the car is fantastically ergonomic. 3.4 miles/kWh life time efficiency across 16,000 miles and two summers and two winters is great. 250 miles real world motorway range at 77mph. And crazy charging speeds upto 233kW meaning 10-80% in 18 minutes at a suitably fast DC charger is absolutely achievable. It’s simply a joy. Any negatives - only a few it has no ski pass through, is dual not tri-climate ( though rear passengers do get great vent control).

After the excitement waned, we just used the basic functions. This was before all the shopping, banking and eWallet apps came along. We also remember when cars first offered AT. People used to say it was for those who don't know how to drive that they needed an AT to change gears for them. Now it's a must have. Can't wait to see how they build on this. Thanks for your comment, btw. We love to hear your views and opinions. It does not matter if you agree with ours or not. It's always enlightening to see another side of things. Thanks for your feedback. You've done your homework. Our opinion was not to put down the designer as we did mention we prefer this design over the Tesla Model 3. In fact our opinion is shared by other content creators on other channels. It's just something people noticed. At the launch, potential buyers could be heard saying, "This part reminds me of X car" or "That part looks like the one from Y car" Is it a bad thing? Judging from the sales - certainly not! We still remember the BMW X6 and X4; following it was the Mercedes GLE Coupe and GLC Coupe, which took inspiration from the BMW. That said, after the CLS was launched, a few models from other marques took inspiration from that design. We may even see other cars models take inspiration from BYD designs in the future. BYD brought in this acclaimed designer to give their cars a continental look and feel, and he succeeded. Design cues were inspired by other makes and injected with identity unique to BYD. It takes skill to blend many influences into one complete design package and the Seal is testament to this designer's creativity. Hats off to him. In this market segment, the design has to be 'safer' and appeal to a wider audience, which is why the final design in often the toned down version of the concept. If you're going to design a proper supercar, like the fantastic looking BYD Yangwang U9, you have more possibilities in terms of design. What do you think is the best feature of the Seal?

@@LynaVasyVoyage i have been driving Camry Hybrid for the past 7+ years and it is time for change. I started looking for a car since early Oct 2023 with a budget of around RM 200K. Current model of Camry is not in my consideration due to lack of Hybrid powertrain even though Toyota gave massive discount of 15K during year end 2023. Honda gave even bigger discount for Accord but it is the model to be phased out in Malaysia market, so Accord also not my choice. Nissan Teana no longer on sales and i do not feel comfortable with other Japanese maker including Mazda. Forget continental cars as i had bad experience in the past. Unless if i opt for re-conditioned/used car, there are really not that many choices with the budget given. The remaining options are Honda CRV Hybrid and BYD Seal. By early Nov 2023, the final price of Honda CRV Hybrid was still yet to be revealed though SA had informed me about the estimated price which i think is reasonable and BYD Seal launching is still undecided and estimated to be at around RM 200K for Premium variant. i decided to place a booking for Honda CRV Hybrid on 15 Nov 2023. When CRV Hybrid finally launch, I visited and test drove and it was acceptable with minor disappointments (hard plastic rear seat door panel and lack of BSM) but i am ok with it. On the day BYD Seal pricing is announce, i was pleasantly surprised that it is RM 20K cheaper than earlier estimate and i immediately made arrangement for test drive. After the test drive, i cancelled my Honda CRV Hybrid (haven't got the car yet) and go for BYD Seal instead. Yes, that RM 20K lesser made the difference although previously i already know that BYD Seal's exterior, interior, ride comfort and build quality seems to be better after months of surfing the internet for BYD Seal review. I did not consider Tesla Model 3 as in my opinion, it is too simple and the feeling and perceived quality is no match for BYD Seal. I have a feeling that if you change the BYD batch to Merc or BMW, it can easily sell at least 2X the price of BYD Seal and yes, i am taking about E class and 5 series level if not higher.

@@LynaVasyVoyage, exterior, interior, ride comfort and build quality better than many cars that is more expensive. Tesla Model 3 doesn't come close.
